Prism Sound and TTi To Host Audio Test & Measurement Seminar

Prism Sound and its UK distribution partner, TTi distribution, are holding a two-day audio test and measurement training seminar from 2nd – 3rd June, 2011. This ‘must attend’ event will introduce engineers to the practical and theoretical aspects of accurately measuring audio for a wide variety of applications.

The training seminar takes place at the AirSpace Conference Centre, Imperial War Museum, Duxford, and will cost £45 per day.

The first day will be devoted to covering the basics of audio measurement and will include sessions on objective and subjective measurement correlation; audio measurement units, single-tone audio measurements; FFTs; Sweeps and Digital Audio. There will be a general introduction session to get the day started and a Q&A wrap up so that those taking part can have their specific queries dealt with.

Montreal’s Percival Molson Memorial Stadium Upgrades Its Audio System With HARMAN JBL VERTEC® Line Arrays

NORTHRIDGE, California – Percival Molson Memorial Stadium is a 25,000-seat outdoor football stadium in Montreal, Canada. Owned by McGill University, Molson Stadium is home to the McGill Redmen of the Quebec University Football League and the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League. The stadium opened in 1919, and has seen a number of upgrades over the years, most recently with a new audio system featuring HARMAN JBL VERTEC® line arrays and AE Series loudspeakers. HARMAN’s Soundcraft Vi4™ Consoles Turn Up the Heat at the X Chili Cook-Off 2011 Music Festival

RICHMOND, Virginia — The recent X Chili Cook-Off 2011 outdoor music festival combined blazing music with offerings from some of the area’s hottest chili chefs. Held at the Richmond Raceway Complex in Virginia and hosted by radio station 102.1 The X, performers such as Seether, Sick Puppies, 10 Years, Saving Abel and The Dirty Heads, were mixed through two of HARMAN’s Soundcraft Vi4 digital consoles, deployed by Soundworks.

The Richmond, Virginia-based Soundworks is a full-service live performance production company that has been providing complete event production services since 1976. GÄVLE, Sweden — Swedish sound company Center Stage has purchased its first Soundcraft Vi1 digital desk from local distributors Septon AB.

Set up by experienced former Spectra Stage & Event Technologies technicians, Robert Berglund and Mikael Andersson in 2007, their mission was to expand the Center Stage audio inventory and develop close customer relations, providing complete technical solutions for corporate events, theatre, dance, music shows and installations.

Show System Integrators Brings Newly Constructed Harvest Bible Chapel To Life With HARMAN’s Soundcraft Vi6™ Digital Console

ORLANDO, Florida — With a completely new worship and education facility spanning all levels from Sunday School to adult learning, the Harvest Bible Chapel in Orlando, Florida recently added a complete digital audio system, designed and installed by Show System Integrators, featuring HARMAN’s Soundcraft Vi6 digital console. Looking to upgrade from its previous system in a smaller space, the chapel’s sound engineers rely on the console’s 96 channels to run its intricate sound throughout the massive house of worship.

The Soundcraft Vi6 runs the main worship chapel with the ability to control the entire venue’s new sound system. The 10,000-square-foot chapel space, which holds up to 1,000 congregators, is also equipped with 16 JBL Control 25T speakers, eight JBL VRX932LA-1 line array loudspeakers, six SRX712M stage monitors and four VRX918S powered subwoofers. STOCKHOLM, Sweden — Specializing in live audio for concert tours and corporate events, Stockholm, Sweden-based Louder Than Love AB has upgraded its live sound arsenal to include a HARMAN Soundcraft Vi1 console. Founded in 2007, Louder Than Love owner Jonas Skramstad has worked with numerous international artists and companies such as Volvo, SAAB, IBM, the National Hockey League, Coca Cola and Astra Zeneca.

IMS Audio/Visual Supports President Barack Obama Town Hall Meeting With HARMAN’s JBL VERTEC®, VRX and SRX Loudspeakers

NORTHRIDGE, California – President Barack Obama held a recent town hall meeting at Gamesa Technology Corporation in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. The town hall meeting addressed a variety of issues, while focusing largely on reducing foreign oil imports and creating jobs for the future. A high-profile contract for Garnett Valley-based IMS Audio/Visual, the rental company provided a variety of HARMAN JBL Professional loudspeakers for live sound reinforcement including VERTEC® DP Series line arrays supported by VRX and SRX Series systems.

For the meeting, IMS Audio/Visual deployed left/right main arrays, each containing five JBL VERTEC VT4887ADP-DA compact powered line array elements with JBL DrivePack™ technology.
