Northridge, Cal. — May 16, 2011 — Powerline Control Systems, Inc., the manufacturer of PulseWorx lighting control for residential and light commercial and security applications, and inventor of Universal Powerline Bus® (UPB) technology, will attend the MRI Expo in Surbridge, Mass. on May 25th, and the Northeast Security Systems Contractors Expo in Marlborough, Mass. on May 26th. Powerline Control Systems will demonstrate the benefits of and give tips on how to sell its PulseWorx lighting system, a highly versatile and reliable lighting control solution that utilizes existing powerlines, making it great for retrofit and new construction applications.

“Dealers will be able to see first-hand the versatility of our extensive and reliable lighting control solutions,? said Scott Klodowski, director of sales and marketing for PCS. “Aside from giving tips on how to market and sell our solutions, dealers can offer suggestions on how we can help them more effectively.?

At each event, dealers will be introduced to and have a chance to discuss the company’s complete assortment of lighting control products and accessories. Included among those product includes Mi Lightstyle; an independent, cost-effective hardware/software package that allows system control by the most popular Internet-connected smart-phones, tablets and computers. Mi LightStyle enables an end user to easily monitor, control and manage UPB-driven PulseWorx and third party products from any device that can connect to the Internet including CCTV, HVAC, lighting, a home theater, and much more. The installing integrator can create advanced times, triggers, email or text notifications and events based on status of the devices, time of day, even local weather conditions delivering an interface that has remarkable breadth while being easy to operate.

Attendees will also learn about other PCS products, including its SIK-4 Security Interface Solution Package and its 4- and 6-Zone Retrofit Light Solutions.

The PCS Security Interface Solution provides professional integrators with a lighting control solution that easily ties into virtually any security system. The Security Interface package, which includes a UPB Bridge, four 6-button 600W Wall Switches and a 4-prong Passive Phase Coupler, enables a security or home automation panel transmitting X-10 to communicate directly to PCS’ UPB-driven devices.

PCS’ RLK-4 Retrofit Light Package, including one Keypad and three Wall Switches, come pre-programmed with seven basic scenes to have a fully-functional system up and running in just a short time. The easy-to-install lighting packages are designed to work with the existing electrical framework of a home or building, eliminating professional integrators’ need to run new wires. Once installed, the lighting system can be modified to the unique demands of the end-user via PCS’ simplified UPStart configuration software.

Industry veteran and National Sales Manager for PCS, Wayne Ortner will also be giving a 90-minute presentation/class at the MRI event.

The MRI Expo, the ninth annual expo put on by the distributor, will have over 50 vendors in attendance.
