A virtual press conference from Sound & Video Contractor

Outdoor Speaker Depot Appears on NBC’s Today Show

NBC’s Today’s Home featured outdoorspeakerdepot.com on a recent episode of Today’s Home. George Oliphant (host of Open House and George to the Rescue) addressed ways to build a great outdoor living area without spending a lot of money and showcased OSD rock, tree trunk, and birdhouse speakers.

According to OSD, popularity of backyard entertainment is growing as people finally realize that outdoor speakers can come in all kinds of shapes and sizes. “Gone are the days where outdoor speakers looked primarily all the same,” says Chris Mirsch, product specialist at OSD. “We disguise out speakers as rocks, frogs, fish, birdhouses, vases, even German Shepherds and tree stumps.”

These clever shapes, says OSD, give users more freedom when placing speakers outside as they serve as both a sound source and decorative ornament—a big plus for couples with opposing aesthetic tastes.

The Today show aired date May 12, 2011 and can be view on the Today show website as well as on outdoorspeakerdepot.com
