Visionary Solutions Enhances AVN Series IPTV Encoders

New Customization Options Eliminate the Need to Pay for Unnecessary Capabilities

CARPINTERIA, Calif. — May 23, 2011 — Visionary Solutions, Inc., today announced that the company will showcase its enhanced AVN series IPTV encoders, which feature a new order fulfillment scheme for new product modules, at InfoComm 2011 in Orlando, Fla. on June 15-17. This new offer from Visionary Solutions enables the customization of the company’s established AVN series encoders, providing greater flexibility and cost-effectiveness for IP streaming applications.

“One of the most valuable propositions that we offer our customers is the flexibility of choice,” said Will Bakewell, president of Visionary Solutions. “Our best-of-breed encoding solutions come with options that empower integrators to buy the exact product modules they require. Other encoding solutions are frequently sold ‘off the shelf,’ with preconfigured feature sets. With these new enhancements, customers can choose solutions fit for a particular project and never have to pay for performance beyond what the project requires.”

Visionary Solutions’ customers benefit from both the increased flexibility and the competitive pricing that the company has to offer because of the new customization options. The company’s AVN422, AVN441, and AVN443 encoders are now available in both standard definition (SD) and high definition (HD) configurations. However, the new customization options also enable simple field upgrades, so SD modules can easily be upgraded to 720p, 1080i, or 1080p HD with simple software updates when the time comes. Modules can also be upgraded with Pro-MPEG Forward Error Correction, as required. The freedom to choose the exact solution needed results in the best pricing. The three prepackaged models previously available will now produce more than 20 orderable configurations giving customers a wide range of options. The company will make other feature modules available in the future.

The AVN series from Visionary Solutions encodes SD and HD video in an H.264 stream and is suitable for all applications requiring cost-effective, low bitrate, and HD video distribution over IP networks. The encoders provide easy streaming of real-time digital video over LAN or WAN.
