Raycom Media to Roll Out Chyron BlueNet(TM) Graphics Workflow Across 31 News-Producing Stations

MONTGOMERY COMMUNITY MEDIA UPGRADES TO HD FIELD PRODUCTION WITH JVC GY-HM700U PROHD CAMERAS

WAYNE, NJ – Montgomery Community Media (MCM), a nonprofit organization responsible for two PEG (Public, Education, and Government) channels serving Montgomery County, Md., has replaced its pool of DV-based EFP camcorders with five GY-HM700U and five GY-HM700UXT ProHD camcorders from JVC Professional Products Company. Three of the GY-HM700UXTs are tasked specifically for professional productions, while the other seven camcorders are used by volunteers who produce a variety of community-based programs.

According to Pat Thorpe, network and technical manager, MCM began researching replacements for its seven aging JVC GY-DV500 camcorders more than three years ago. With an ever-changing crew of volunteers, including people who have never had formal video production training, he wanted professional cameras with “real? controls, instead of prosumer cameras that rely primarily on menu-based operation.

Prism Sound and TTi To Host Audio Test & Measurement Seminar

Prism Sound and its UK distribution partner, TTi distribution, are holding a two-day audio test and measurement training seminar from 2nd – 3rd June, 2011. This ‘must attend’ event will introduce engineers to the practical and theoretical aspects of accurately measuring audio for a wide variety of applications.

Montreal’s Percival Molson Memorial Stadium Upgrades Its Audio System With HARMAN JBL VERTEC® Line Arrays

NORTHRIDGE, California – Percival Molson Memorial Stadium is a 25,000-seat outdoor football stadium in Montreal, Canada. Owned by McGill University, Molson Stadium is home to the McGill Redmen of the Quebec University Football League and the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League. The stadium opened in 1919, and has seen a number of upgrades over the years, most recently with a new audio system featuring HARMAN JBL VERTEC® line arrays and AE Series loudspeakers. RICHMOND, Virginia — The recent X Chili Cook-Off 2011 outdoor music festival combined blazing music with offerings from some of the area’s hottest chili chefs. Held at the Richmond Raceway Complex in Virginia and hosted by radio station 102.1 The X, performers such as Seether, Sick Puppies, 10 Years, Saving Abel and The Dirty Heads, were mixed through two of HARMAN’s Soundcraft Vi4 digital consoles, deployed by Soundworks.

The Richmond, Virginia-based Soundworks is a full-service live performance production company that has been providing complete event production services since 1976. For the X Chili Cook-Off 2011, owner Steve Payne deployed his consoles to handle front of house and monitor mixing to support the live sound.
