Orlando, FL, June 15, 2011 – At InfoComm Booth #3001, Crestron today introduced a new line of energy-efficient high-power commercial amplifiers. Designed to meet ENERGY STAR® certification, the exclusive AMP Series amplifiers help meet energy savings objectives and green initiatives without sacrificing audio performance. Each AMP Series amplifier is 100% Crestron designed, engineered, and manufactured.

Designed for energy efficiency, high-end audio performance and versatility in a wide variety of commercial environments, AMP series amplifiers offer more than twice the power of other amps in its class. Featuring a high-efficiency amp topology and low noise, low distortion performance, the AMP Series provides more headroom for powering larger rooms in lecture halls, sports bars, restaurants, auditoriums, retail spaces, hotel conference rooms or corporate boardrooms. Channel selectable for either 70V or 100V, any AMP can be used in both U.S. and international environments.

Additional power-savings features include auto “power-down� mode which automatically shuts down AMP after 30 minutes of no signal. Conveniently, auto “power-on� instantly turns an AMP back on when a signal, such as speaking into a microphone or playing a CD/DVD, is detected. Whether in between classes at universities, during lunch breaks at seminars or in empty rooms in sports bars, this unique power feature provides an intelligent and automated long-term energy savings solution.

With four models to choose from, AMP Series provides a slew of design and power options. Lightweight and less than 11 inches deep, AMP 2210S and AMP-3210S offer a choice of two or three channels to drive both 4 and 8 ohm speakers at 120 watts and 210 watts, respectively. At less than 15 inches deep AMP-2210T and AMP-3210T deliver either two or three channels at 210W @ 4hms, 120W @ 8ohms and 120W at 70/100V. Providing a one-component solution for numerous applications, each channel is selectable for 4/8ohms and isolated 70V or 100V, to deliver any combination of power requirements.

A fifth model, AMP-2210HT, will offer a full 210W at 70V, and is ideal for bigger buildings such as hotels, malls, and similar large public spaces with dozens of speakers on multiple floors. All AMP series amps offer a space-saving compact design and fit into a single 1U rack space.
