MELVILLE, NY, June 21, 2011 — Blackstar Amplification is now shipping two new heads from its award-winning Series One (S1) range. The Series One range of tube amplifiers has quickly gained acclaim among guitarists looking for the ultimate in tone. The models, a direct result of feedback from end users, are the S1-104EL34 and S1-1046L6 Heads.

S1-104EL34 & S1-1046L6 Heads
The S1-104 is a footswitchable, four-channel 100-Watt tube head with six modes that shares the same feature set as the S1-200. It is available in two versions – EL34 and 6L6. The EL34 model has the same style and voicing as the S1-100, while the 6L6 version has a new look and is voiced to appeal to the modern high-gain metal player. Features include:

NORTHRIDGE, California — Beginning in July 2011, HARMAN’s Studer will launch the Studer Broadcast Academy, a new program to provide broadcast engineers with training and technical certification for its world-class line of Vista digital consoles. The Studer Broadcast Academy will be serviced with the Studer truck, featuring two broadcast studios (one housing a Vista 9 and the other a Vista 5). Training and certification will be held in multiple cities throughout the United States, with plans to extend the program to Europe in October 2011.

The Studer Broadcast Academy will include hands-on training for Studer’s Vista consoles as part of certification modules that will provide engineers with proof of efficiency with the Vista line. In addition, engineers are welcome to attend the Open House sessions for product demonstrations, with no requirement to pursue certification.

FORECASTER HD helps systems designers select the proper models and quantities of Community ceiling loudspeakers for a wide range of ceiling distributed applications based on user input of room dimensions and listening height. The program is designed to compensate for sloped ceilings and seating areas, and individual loudspeakers can be moved to avoid physical barriers in a room. Forecaster HD system designs can be saved, recalled and shared.

Users can quickly compare the results of using different loudspeaker models, and different density and layout patterns to achieve the desired performance and coverage goals.
