L-ACOUSTICS US Takes KARA and SB18 on the Road

Regional presentations and demos planned for Chicago, New York and Dallas

OXNARD, California — In response to the many pro audio professionals that have requested to hear L-ACOUSTICS’ newest product offerings for themselves, the manufacturer’s Oxnard, California office announces that it will be hosting KARA and SB18 demos in three US cities — Chicago, New York and Dallas — later this year.

G. MARTELL COLLEGE INSTALLS SSL AWS 948, MATRIX AND NUCLEUS FOR DEGREE PROGRAM

AWS 948 Joined by Matrix and Seven Nucleus Systems in Major Upgrade for Leading Mexican Educator

COYOAC�N, MEXICO CITY – The G. Martell College of Music and Audio, a Mexico City-based music institution in existence for 101 years, installed a Solid State Logic AWS 948 Console/Controller in its main teaching studio as part of a major facilities upgrade. The AWS 948 joins a recently-completed SSL Matrix room and a new computer workstation room featuring seven SSL Nucleus systems to round out the educational experience. The AWS, Matrix and Nucleus systems will be used to teach all aspects of capture, mix and signal flow for music recording, mixing and post production.

A landmark venue, strikingly contemporary graphics, a massive set, and an exciting fall primetime line-up combined to generate serious buzz at the CBS 2011 Upfront Presentation at New York City’s Carnegie Hall where Video Applications (VAI), a WorldStage company, provided video projection, switching, engineering and signal distribution.

VAI, which began its collaboration with CBS Executive Producer Jane Gottlieb in 1994, built on the projection design established last year to go even larger and taller with an expanded display beyond the hero screen that incorporated the architectural elements of Carnegie Hall’s famed proscenium stage.
