Chyron Extends Power of BlueNet(TM) Graphics Workflow

New Plugin Brings Adobe Premiere Pro Functionality to Chyron Graphics Platform

AMSTERDAM — Sept. 8, 2011 — Today at IBC2011, Chyron unveiled the new BlueNet(TM) Plugin, which makes functionality of Adobe(R) Premiere(R) Pro CS5.5 software, a robust, cross-platform video editing platform, available within Chyron graphics workflows.

Integrated into Chyron’s BlueNet workflow suite, the plugin allows Internet-connected staff and freelance editors working anywhere to modify, import, and render graphics within an Adobe Premiere Pro timeline. In addition to enabling easy compliance with standard branding while maintaining MOS newsroom support, this powerful integrated solution brings much greater speed, convenience, and efficiency to the creation of video packages containing high-quality multilayered and keyed graphics.

“The new BlueNet Plugin allows editors to utilize the power of Adobe Premiere Pro and provides easier collaboration across the team so projects can be completed dramatically faster,” said Bill Roberts, director of product management for professional video and audio at Adobe. “We are committed to collaborating with industry leaders to provide integrated solutions for professional video workflows.”

BlueNet fully addresses broadcasters’ requirements for fast end-to-end graphics workflows. Leveraging Chyron’s acclaimed suite of graphics tools, the solution streamlines ordering and graphics asset management, collaborative graphics creation, and real-time playout, thereby minimizing the cycle time from creation to air in news and sports workflows. Order management tools allow producer-driven content to move smoothly into a rundown, and management tools and easily accessible templates enable instant and efficient collaboration in preparing graphics.

“Our BlueNet workflow suite facilitates highly creative production processes through ultra-efficient workflows that address media markets ranging from broadcast and the Web to print and advertising, and the integration of Adobe’s editing tools represents another significant step forward in empowering staff throughout the workflow,” said Peter Morrone, senior vice president of engineering at Chyron. “Adobe Premiere Pro puts the BlueNet workflow at the editor’s fingertips, whether working at a desktop or in the field, and makes it easy to bring graphics into the edit timeline and post the complete package for broadcast or other distribution outlets.”

Editors may take advantage of Adobe Premiere Pro functionality, provided through familiar Adobe windows and menus, not only to create new packages, but also to version, rebrand, and repurpose existing video packages.

Chyron is demonstrating the BlueNet Plugin throughout IBC2011, and Adobe is showcasing the integrated solution within its Broadcast Solutions stand.
