Chyron and AP ENPS Announce Integrated Graphics Solution for Web and Mobile Content
MELVILLE, N.Y. — Sept. 7, 2011 — Chyron and ENPS today announced a new partnership through which Chyron’s CAMIO asset management server and Axis World Graphics products now seamlessly integrate with ENPS workflows for Web and mobile output.
“ENPS serves the editorial core of our customers’ newsrooms, and we are delighted to partner once again with Chyron, a global provider of innovative graphics solutions,” said Mike Palmer, director, ENPS design and integration strategy at The Associated Press, where ENPS originated. “Together we will enable customers to drag and drop graphics into Web and mobile content, and quickly repurpose broadcast graphics on Web, mobile, and social media.”
Broadcast graphics can be reused online by simply dragging the graphic from an ENPS broadcast script and dropping into an ENPS Web story. The tools work equally as well to integrate graphics created specifically for Web and mobile stories into a broadcast script. Users can drag and drop from Chyron into an ENPS broadcast story; no other user action is required.
Chyron works with ENPS through the MOS protocol to route the Chyron graphics seamlessly to online distribution channels.
“Working with ENPS gives broadcasters the ability to leverage and apply their incredibly valuable infrastructure and staff to the production of Web, mobile, and social media — in addition to broadcast,” said Bill Hendler, chief technology officer at Chyron. “Customers can reduce costs and maximize productivity by using a common set of editorial and media tools, staff, and workflow for all of the content they publish and broadcast.”
The flexibility offered by Chyron and ENPS allows customers to repurpose content but also gives them the option to create distribution-specific versions tailored to broadcast, Web, mobile, and social media when required.
Chyron will be showcasing the integrated solution throughout IBC2011 at stand 7.D11.
