NSCA & Listen Technologies to Present Webinar on Regulatory Changes Affecting Assistive Listening Devices

To educate audio-visual systems designers and contractors about the Department of Justice’s regulatory changes within the American with Disabilities Act related to assistive listening devices NSCA will offer a free webinar on April 25, 2012.
Bluffdale, Utah, USA — Listen Technologies Corporation is pleased to announce the NSCA webinar “Assistive Listening Devices and Regulatory Changes with the Americans with Disabilities Act.”

In 2010 the Department of Justice amended the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements for assistive listening and other AV systems. The new requirements went into full effect on March 12, 2012.

NSCA has partnered with Listen Technologies to present the details of what the new requirements will mean to the audio-visual industry. Cory Schaeffer, Co-Founder & Vice President of Sales Worldwide and Sean Kala Hew-Len; Wireless Listening Specialist; from Listen Technologies will present on important topics such as:

• What changed?
• Impact of changes on your projects and customers
• Understand the math associated with the changes
• Who enforces the ADA law?
• What are considered to be public facilities?
• Compliance issues

A brief Q&A will end this informative webinar. The webinar is scheduled for Wednesday, April 25 at 2:00 p.m. EST and is free. To register for the webinar go to:

“This changes the specification for all audio systems, and assistive listening is now required for all public venues that offer sound reinforcement of any kind,” noted Cory Schaeffer, VP of Sales Worldwide at Listen Technologies. “We know there are still a lot of questions about what went into effect on March 15 and we hope this webinar will help AV system designers and contractors understand what has changed.”
