Hitachi Kokusai to Showcase Latest HD Studio and Production Cameras at InfoComm 2012

WOODBURY, New York – Hitachi Kokusai Electric America, Ltd., a leading provider of affordable, high performance cameras, announces its presence at this year’s InfoComm, which takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada, from June 13th to 15th. The company will display its keys offerings, including the new SK-HD1200 portable HDTV studio and EFP camera and the Z-HD5000 HDTV production camera within Hitachi America’s booth (C5425).

“InfoComm affords us a great opportunity to strengthen our business with both broadcasters and customers in the AV industry,” said Sean Moran, Hitachi Kokusai Electric America’s National Sales Manager. “Hitachi Kokusai offers HD cameras with superior price performance, which we believe to be a top priority due to the budget constraints experienced by everyone in the corporate, government and educational video industries. We’re proud to offer products that are affordable without compromising quality or functionality, and we look forward to connecting with attendees at InfoComm. The InfoComm audience represents many of our oldest and most loyal customers as well as new, potential customers looking to us for more cost-effective solutions for their AV needs.”

Hitachi’s new top-of-the-line SK-HD1200 handheld HDTV production camera offers the most advanced digital processing technology available, resulting in low-noise, high dynamic range pictures. The SK-HD1200 features three 2.3 million pixel 1080/60p Ultra-Advanced CCDs, 3Gbps HD-SDI signal handling from end-to-end, and has the capability to switch between progressive and interlaced signal processing, transport and outputs. The camera system simplifies and lowers cost with its ability to use an optical routing system to connect multiple camera heads to any number of CCUs.

Also on display will be the Z-HD5000 HDTV camera, Hitachi’s most economical, high-performance, multi-function Studio and Field production camera. The first HDTV model camera in the company’s popular, affordable Z Series product line, the two-piece dockable Z-HD5000 camera offers the flexibility needed for multipurpose applications including studio, field and mobile video production. Offering high light sensitivity coupled with low vertical smear, the Z‐HD5000’s three 2/3‐ inch native 1080i CCD sensors produce 850 TVL of resolution, F10@2000 Lux, and HD Signal to Noise (SNR) level of 58db for a sharp, clean HD picture.
