Las Vegas, NV – FSR, manufacturer of audio and video switching, control products, and connectivity boxes, is introducing its new IT-CHRG-P2U PoE to USB charger, a power option for the company’s new WE-IPAD2-SLV iPad® enclosure, at InfoComm 2012 in booth N 651. This new charger, an addition to the Company’s IntelliTools accessory line, offers AV professionals relying on iPads for any number of display applications, a simple, yet reliable power solution.

Deriving ample power from a standard PoE network connection, the new PoE/USB Charger, when used alongside the FSR iPad enclosure, offers easy and convenient single-cable Installation. The rear of the iPad enclosure, where the PoE charger sits, offers a symmetrical hole pattern for rapid mounting to a standard 2-gang box, with no electrical drop needed.

“We are excited to introduce both the iPad enclosure and PoE USB Charger,” says Jan Sandri, president, FSR. “With more and more display options being designed around Apple®’s iPad, we are proud to be able to offer our customers these attractive and powerful options. These new cube and wall plate styles, which are debuting at this year’s InfoComm, derive ample power from a standard PoE network connection and do not require PoE+. They can easily be used as an accessory for any iPad version.”

With the PoE/USB charger, AV professionals can power up their iPads from a PoE-Ethernet drop without the need for AC line power. The small cube can easily be mounted in a 2-gang wall box behind the FSR iPad wall mount and the PoE/USB charger will operate and charge the iPad supporting Apple’s charging standard. In addition, the PoE/USB charger will also notify the iPad that it is connected to a charger avoiding annoying pop-ups. The charging side is rated at 5VDC, 2 amps/ 10watts.

DPA Features Complete Range of d:fine™ Headset Mics at InfoComm 2012

LAS VEGAS, JUNE 13, 2012 – DPA Microphones, the manufacturer of high-level reference and headset microphones, is showcasing its complete range of d:fine™ headset microphones at InfoComm 2012 (Booth C9850). The range features a choice of single- or dual-ear mount models, allowing artists, presenters, actors and worship leaders to select the optimum version for their performance.

Available as omnidirectional and directional mics, the d:fine series includes a long and short mic boom mounted on either a single- or a dual-ear mount. Audio engineers will find great benefit in d:fine’s clear, high-SPL and distortion-free sound as well as ease of switching between the right and left sides, which can be accomplished by twisting the boom.

The dual-ear d:fine is ideal for more active situations, where extra secure mounting is required, as it sits snugly on the neck and is virtually invisible. The single-ear d:fine lends itself to more stationary productions or presentations that require a low-profile mic. The new short boom d:fine headset allows a user to optimize the placement of the microphone to achieve the perfect fit and invisibility. The dual-ear mount is also available as an accessory to convert single- to dual-ear versions.

“d:fine has garnered an impressive fan base since its 2011 launch,” says DPA CEO Christian Poulsen. “Along with the addition of a dual-ear headset and movable boom, we have improved the sound quality and created an aesthetic product with a fantastic fit, giving the user optimal comfort. We are sure the new versions will be adopted for the most demanding applications when it comes to aesthetics, sound and freedom of movement.”

All d:fine headset mics offer consistent audio performance at all SPLs, impressive gain before feedback and stable construction. A small capsule providing a discreet performance, each d:fine headset mic gives the performer the freedom to focus on his performance. The earpieces are made from sprung tension material, which is extremely comfortable to wear and automatically adjusts the headset to each wearer, ensuring it stays in place by applying consistent pressure regardless of ear size. The headset can easily be taken on and off by the wearer, returning to its original shape each time. Repairs no longer require taking a microphone out of

All Performa3 passive loudspeakers will be available in December 2012, with both subwoofers available in early 2013.

“Our Revel Performa loudspeakers have earned rave reviews from audiophiles since their initial introduction,” said Jim Garrett, Director, Marketing and Product Management for HARMAN Luxury Audio and Loudspeakers. “We have made a number of advancements in loudspeaker materials and manufacturing technologies that we are now able to incorporate into the upgraded Performa3 models. We are confident that listeners will be thrilled with the improvements in sonic performance and musical accuracy.”

To achieve their superior sound quality, Revel Performa3 loudspeakers deploy proprietary drivers throughout. The 1-inch aluminum-dome tweeters deliver airy, extended high-frequency response to beyond 20 kHz, with superlative detail and clarity. The tweeters operate into an exclusive patent-pending Acoustic Lens Waveguide that is precisely shaped using an entirely-new mathematical approach. These new waveguides result in an utterly seamless transition from the midrange to tweeter; greatly enhancing the sense of reality and musicality.

The midrange and low-frequency drivers employ aluminum cones and sophisticated motor systems for extraordinary resolution with low distortion. The cones have integral ribs that add strength and rigidity without added mass, resulting in very low distortion for more natural vocal and instrumental reproduction. The drivers incorporate additional refinements including cast-aluminum frames and efficiently vented, high-power motor structures, to deliver the same superb sonic character over an extraordinarily wide dynamic range.

The F208 and C208 also feature a tweeter level control that allows the speakers’ high-frequency balance to be fine-tuned, and a boundary control, which enables the speakers to be tailored to individual room acoustics and placement positions.

The enclosures are built to the highest standards, with bracing at critical locations and curved side
panels that minimize cabinet-induced coloration. The three-way models feature individual sub-enclosures for the midrange drivers for maximum midrange clarity and definition.

Outline Features FlySub 15 iMode and FlySub 15 Subwoofer Systems at InfoComm 2012

Speakers Designed to Work with Mini-COM.P.A.S.S. iMode and
EIDOS 265 Line Array Systems

LAS VEGAS, JUNE 14, 2012 – Outline, the makers of high quality, industry leading speaker systems for touring, installation and studio applications, features the new FlySub 15 iMode and FlySub 15 Line Array Subwoofer Speakers at InfoComm 2012 (Booth C11549). This new series of subwoofers is designed to add crisp and clear low-end energy punch to Outline’s iMode powered Mini-COM.P.A.S.S. and passive EIDOS 265 LA Line Array Speaker Systems. These systems are targeted for fixed installation, auditorium, outdoor venue and light touring applications.

“The FlySub 15 iMode system was specifically designed to seamlessly integrate with the popular Mini-COM.P.A.S.S. iMode line array system where the power amplifier, Linux-based CPU with an Outline-customized kernel, integrated DSP chip, parameter control software and Web server are integrated into the cabinet,” says Tom Bensen, senior vice-president and managing director of Outline North America. “The FlySub 15 provides the same service for our new passive EIDOS 265 line array system. The FlySub systems were created through industry demand for an extended low range speaker that shared the acoustic characteristics and mounting hardware of Outline’s mid-range line array systems. We believe the addition of the FlySub 15 systems will help continue the strong industry acceptance of both Mini-COM.P.A.S.S. iMode and the new EIDOS 265.”

The FlySub 15 iMode is an iMode/internal amplifier powered subwoofer equipped with a long-stroke 15-inch loudspeaker, designed specifically for the reinforcement of low frequencies for the Mini-COM.P.A.S.S. Vertical Line Array (VLA) loud speaker system. The rigging hardware incorporated into the FlySub cabinet is perfectly compatible with that of the Mini-COM.P.A.S.S. system, ensuring the fastest possible installation. The cabinet’s raked lines enable a wider range of geometric configurations in context of a VLA, taking into consideration the mechanical stresses on a specific VLA installation to ensure the necessary safety margins for a flying system.

The FlySub’s acoustic loading was calculated to include the top end of the upper bass frequency range for a perfect match with the Mini-COM.P.A.S.S. This relieves the Mini-COM.P.A.S.S. cabinets from bass duty, resulting in greater system dynamic range with minimum distortion, yielding a higher overall sonic quality. To achieve these results, the 15-inch loudspeaker (manufactured to precise Outline specifications) is fitted with a dual spider to enable the system to stand up to hard use, ensuring that consistent performance is maintained through the years. Upgraded ventilation to handle power peaks and careful measurement of electro-acoustic parameters based on high level signals were employed to create a well-balanced design offering superior performance with excursion, current and temperature. The FlySub 15 iMode is equipped with Outline’s proprietary iMode technology and an extremely efficient Class D amplifier (1000W EIAJ at 8 Ω). The frequency response is from 35 Hz to 550 Hz (-10 dB) with peak SPL at 136.5 dB.

The FlySub 15 passive subwoofer is designed for use with the new EIDOS 265 LA Line Array Speaker system, which is also passive. It features the same dimensions, mechanical and electro-acoustic specifications as the FlySub 15 iMode, but requires an external amplifier and DSP to match iMode performance.
