HARMAN’s Studer and DAVID Systems GmbH Join Forces to Provide Unprecedented Workflow and Quality for Radio Broadcast Applications

AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands — At IBC 2012, HARMAN’s Studer is announcing that DAVID Systems GmbH now supports Studer’s Monitora protocol, a feature of Studer’s OnAir consoles. DAVID Systems is also now able to provide BCS (Broadcast Server), its renowned radio playout automation technology, including Turbo Player (the playout application of BCS), for Studer OnAir consoles.

Tailored to meet customers’ requirements for different level of workflows, the combination of Studer consoles and DAVID’s playout offers an attractive combination of leading products for the radio broadcast market. With DAVID’s “BCS News”, as part of the DigaSystem product family, simple playout is much easier and more streamlined, supporting OnAir 1500 consoles for a radio-specific solution and OnAir 3000 consoles for live broadcasts.

“As DAVID is one of the leading companies for radio automation and radio production systems for public broadcasters in Europe, Studer’s collaboration with DAVID marks a significant leap forward in the ability to better serve our clients in the broadcast market,” said Keith Watson, Marketing Director, HARMAN Mixing Group. “Studer’s Monitora protocol now enables a more seamless integration of Studer’s renowned OnAir mixing consoles with DAVID’s leading radio automation technology!”

“Our relationship with Studer has already produced outstanding results with our combined DigaSystem and OnAir studio solution; it emphasizes our commitment to freedom of choice and high efficiency of our customers in their studios,” said Vincent Benveniste, CEO, DAVID Systems.

In addition to the setup at the Studer stand, DAVID Systems will be demonstrating its BCS system with a Studer OnAir 1500 mixing console at IBC, Hall 7, Stand F20.
