Advanced Systems Group Offers Free Video Archive Webinar

EMERYVILLE, CALIF. – Advanced Systems Group (ASG), a leading West Coast video and film integration firm, will host “How To Avoid Archive Anarchy,” a free webinar to explore video archive solutions, on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at 10 a.m. Hosted by ASG’s Tyler Berry, the 90-minute webinar will feature presentations from Cache-A, Quantum, and XenData – three leading providers of archiving products for professional video applications.

“There are many archiving choices in our market, so it’s important to understand the differences in approach and technology between manufacturers,” said Dave Van Hoy, ASG president. “Our webinar will spotlight solutions from three different companies and show how their products integrate with today’s file-based workflows.”

Cache-A specializes in the development of cost effective archive appliances for the digital film and professional video industries. Mark Ostlund, vice president of sales and marketing, will discuss the company’s LTO data tape-based solutions. XenData, with its focus on media and entertainment industry requirements, has digital video archives in more than 50 countries. CEO Phil Storey will detail the company’s tape and disk-based approach. And Quantum offers specialized tape, disk, and cloud-based storage solutions for a variety of industries, but will focus specifically on its StorNext line of archive appliances and software. The presentations will be followed by a short Q&A session.
