New MuxLab Digital Audio Converter Supports 5.1 Channel

MONTREAL, CANADA — MuxLab Inc. is pleased to announce the launch of the newest addition to its A/V family; the Digital Audio Converter, 5.1 Channel (500081). The 500081 converts one 5.1 Channel encoded coaxial or optical digital audio signal to a standard left/right analog audio output, thereby allowing a digital audio source such as a DVD or CD player without RCA analog audio output to be connected to a legacy audio-video receiver or TV. One of the unit’s key features is a switch that selects between TOSLink and S/PDIF inputs. The TOSlink cable is also included to ease the installation process.

“Ideal for applications such as commercial and residential AV systems, classroom video systems, and boardroom systems, this product really has no limit” said Marc Bohbot, MuxLab’s Director of R&D. “We are looking forward to expanding the success of the 500080 with the 500081”.

The 500081 is also designed to be used with the MuxLab mounting accessories, and was carefully engineered for an easy and smooth installation.
