Haivision to Participate in ‘Education Zone’ With Multicast Enterprise Video Session at ISE 2013

Haivision CMO Peter Maag Takes on Benefits and Challenges of IP Video Delivery in Enterprise Applications

MONTREAL and CHICAGO — Jan. 15, 2012 — Haivision Chief Marketing Officer Peter Maag will deliver an educational session entitled “Planning Your Multicast Enterprise Video Network” as part of the InfoComm University courses offered at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2013. The presentation will take place at the Amsterdam RAI in the Education Zone, room D204, on Jan. 30 from 12 to 1:30 p.m.

“As a growing part of corporate communication strategies, delivering video over IP is rapidly changing the way organizations manage and distribute their content,” Maag said. “This is why it’s so important that businesses and industry professionals fully understand both the benefits and challenges of IP video delivery. With this session, we will take a closer look at the technology behind IP video deployment and learn the ins and outs of how to migrate from a baseband system to a multicast workflow.”

In his presentation, Maag will explain how organizations can now fully leverage the opportunities of IP video and mitigate the challenges of this powerful new type of deployment by using multicast video workflows. With a focus on how to migrate from a baseband system successfully, attendees will learn how to select the right encoding/decoding and player technology, plan for an efficient network, and take advantage of advanced applications — such as recording, VOD, and access control.

Haivision also will be exhibiting at ISE 2013 in stand 10-K114.
