Vista Systems’ Spyder Feeds Videowall on Executive Floor in Energy Company HQ
There’s a Spyder inside a major energy infrastucture provider’s corporate headquarters, and it’s energizing the executive floor. Vista Systems’ Spyder X20 8×8 video processor enables execs and their guests to see the company’s latest projects and achievements on a new 2×5 videowall.
“The videowall is run by corporate communications and is part of an overall remodeling of the executive floor with new conference rooms,” says David Weibel, of Ford AV, which designs, integrates , services and rents professional sound, video and lighting systems from its offices located in Tulsa, OK. “The videowall is composed of 55-inch NEC flat-panel LEDs. Its sources include several PCs, a DVD and BluRay player and cable television.”
Weibel says that Ford AV has used Spyders in several previous installations. “We’re familiar with their reliability and robustness. You can do anything you want with them.”
Spyder is working “beautifuly” in this application, he reports. “We have had a lot of positive comments from the customer about how good the videowall looks. They’re very impressed with all the capabilities of the Spyder. Seeing what it’s capable of doing has really opened up their eyes to all the possibilities.”
