Inventor Television Show Everyday Edisons Relies on Hitachi CP-WU8450 Projector to Display Extraordinary Ideas

CHULA VISTA, California, May 28, 2013 — Hitachi America, Ltd., Digital Media Division, Business Solutions Group announced that its CP-WU8450 3LCD projector will be featured in the fifth season of Everyday Edisons, an American Public Television program airing on stations across the country. This builds on the program’s successful use of Hitachi projectors and interactive whiteboards in previous seasons.

Showcasing “Ordinary People, Extraordinary Ideas” and their inventions, the fifth season of Everyday Edisons will include inventions for the medical field and features a new state-of-the-art medical research and design facility. Here, the CP-WU8450 will be used to display designs, prototypes and inventor presentations.

“As a television program focusing on inventors, it’s crucial that we make sure they have the most cutting-edge technology at their disposal,” said Louis Foreman, Executive Producer of Everyday Edisons. “We have enjoyed tremendous results with Hitachi products in the past, so it was an easy decision to outfit our new R&D facility with the Hitachi CP-WU8450 projector.”

The CP-WU8450 3LCD projector offers simple and user-friendly functionality and easy installation. With a convenient motorized lens shift, and a 360-degree vertical tilt angle, images can be seamlessly adjusted and moved at the touch of a button. Plus, with a wide range of optional lenses, the CP-WU8450 can adapt to any environment.

“We have had a terrific relationship with Everyday Edisons and we feel the program’s use of Hitachi products is an ideal pairing of brilliant minds with world-class technology,” said Darla Achey, Marketing Manager, Hitachi America, Ltd., Digital Media Division, Business Solutions Group. “We are looking forward to an exciting fifth season and can’t wait to see the CP-WU8450 in action!”
