Christie®, a global provider of visual display solutions, is pleased to announce that Integrity Entertainment Systems, LLC (“Integrity”), led by President Gary Engvold, has been recognized by Christie for its recent milestone of more than 1,000 installations of Christie® Solaria® projectors for its customers, which include some of the leading chains and independent cinemas in the U.S.

The award will be presented at ShowEast (Oct. 21-24) at the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa, Hollywood, Florida.

Craig Sholder, vice president of Christie’s Entertainment Solutions group, congratulated Engvold and Integrity on the award. “Integrity realizes the importance of providing a total solution to its exhibitor customers and does so by communicating to its customers the advantage of all of Christie’s cinema products and services, including our theatre management software, digital signage and network operations center (NOC) facilities, in addition to our world-class digital cinema projectors.”

Christie provides the brightest, highest-quality images for cinema and alternative content projections, with practically no downtime during conversions, and superior after-sale service and support. The range of 2K to 4K resolutions, plus options for 3D and high frame rate projection, make Christie the projection solution for now and the future.

“As well, Christie goes the extra mile in not just supplying excellent products and service support, but also helps me prospect new customers and obtain their digital-conversion financing. That makes a standard business arrangement become a true value-added relationship.”

Integrity is a full-service cinema supply company, created in 2002. Through partnerships with some of the industry’s leading suppliers, it creates custom solutions for projection, seating, point-of-sale, concession and lobby areas.

Integrity is currently installing Christie Solaria Series digital cinema projectors at a number of theatres across the USA. These include Clearview Theaters across the eastern USA, as a result of that chain’s acquisition in April 2013 by Bow Tie Cinemas. At the time, Bow Tie announced that it intended “to make a substantial investment in the newly-acquired Clearview theaters, including Chelsea Cinemas, to fund key upgrades that are designed to enhance the movie-going experience for customers, including digital projection and 3D installations, concession stand upgrades, decorative improvements and point of sale technology that will allow Bow Tie to enhance its customer loyalty programs.”

Relacart is to build the multifunction hall of Shandong Vocational College

Shandong Vocational College of Foreign Affairs Translation is a full-time college. Its establishment has been approved by the provincial people’s Government and recorded by the Ministry of Education. The campus area covers 1600 mu. There are 3 experimental training centers for applied foreign language, international business and tourism management, 54 school laboratory, 6 large conference area, 12 small and medium-sized conference room and 5 function rooms in the college. The equipment and supporting function is complete, which can meet all kinds of professional practice teaching need. The college owns teaching equipments valued 67820000 yuan, which ranks in the front of same level schools in the province.

This time Relacart undertook the multi-function hall translation of Foreign Affairs College upgrade project. The multi-function hall is mainly applied to academic seminars, international exchanges, large evening party and competition. Each function hall is about 400 square meters. As the area is quite large, the school requires for using wireless microphone. It should be convenient for the leaders and the host in the seminars and exchange to walk around. And when walk around, the signal won’t dropout as a result of the distance. And the application to the large scale party and competition, the requirement of the microphone is in addition to the stable signals, the sound quality must be clear and bright, can bring the real skills of the actor. According to the requirement, the engineer selects Relacart HR-30S single channel true diversity wireless microphone for the college.

Relacart HR-30S single channel true diversity wireless microphone, full low and medium frequency, high sensitivity, dental clear sound, strong penetrating power, is very suitable for large-scale performances occasions. According to the proposed requirements of far transmission distance and signal stability, HR-30S AFS Automatic Frequency Scanning technology and innovative research RWW1.0 wireless control software can perfectly solve this problem

The host of HR-30S will scan the interference-free frequency by the AFS automatic frequency scanning technology, and then the RWW1.0 wireless system control software count out the interference-free frequency of each microphone and lock on to it through the powerful computing capability of computer. The frequency that scanned in this way is very stable and free from the outside interference, which ensures the stable transmission of the signal.

The software is provided with a spectrum analyzer, can monitor all the channels and interference signal in the stage environment real-time. Unique signal drop-out scan and memory function can record the transmission quality and know the position of appearing dropout, which effectively avoid dropout and crossing frequency. The actor, the speech guest or host can move freely on the stage, there is no need to worry about stepping on the “deadspot” caused by dropout frequency that lead to the quality of activities;

Seeing that in the seminar the speaker or the host will go up and down the stage, makes the transmission distance become far. In order to increase the signal transmission distance, Relacart especially set the R-20Adirectional antenna booster and R-20U panel antenna on the top the smallpox in the multi-function hall., which makes the transmission distance up to 100 meters and wider the signal coverage area, minimum the deadspot and make signal transmission more stable. The increase of signal transmission let the guest and host can play freely, which make the activities carried out more smoothly and actively.

It is reported,  the leaders of the college are very satisfied with the upgrade program,. So far, they have successfully held the China International Education Exchange, the graduation party, dancing, singing, debate and other large-scale activities. The process of using HR-30S goes very smoothly and has been recognized by the school.

St. Joseph Fullerton Hosts Traditional and Contemporary Mass with Community

Founded in 1850 by German immigrants, St. Joseph Fullerton is a Roman Catholic church located just north of Baltimore in Perry Hall, Maryland. St. Joseph’s current building, an octagonal structure with around-the-sanctuary seating, and imaginative décor has impressed parishioners and visitors for more than 40 years.

St. Joseph’s original sound system used ceiling loudspeakers to cover the sanctuary and had been augmented with loudspeakers in the organ chamber. However, coverage was uneven in many locations and very poor in the back of the church.

Through a referral from another church, St. Joseph’s contacted Mike Flaherty of Nelson White Systems in Baltimore. Flaherty recommended a system based on Community’s Entasys column line arrays. He had used Entasys in other church sound systems and knew they would provide smooth coverage throughout the sanctuary and project sound evenly all the way to the rear while minimizing unwanted reflections from the ceiling and floor.

Flaherty chose left and right double-stacked Entasys to cover the central areas of the sanctuary supplemented by a pair of single Entasys to cover the far left and right. He added two Community VLF212 Subwoofers to supplement the system’s low-frequency performance for the church’s weekly contemporary mass. And, he chose Community’s dSPEC Networked Loudspeaker Processor to provide system equalization.

Since Flaherty had not used Entasys in a semi-circular sanctuary like St. Joseph’s, he asked Community’s Technical Applications Group to review his design. Community’s analysis showed that the design would achieve its goals of even coverage and uniform sound levels throughout the church.
Completed in late spring of 2013, St. Joseph’s new sound system includes Crown amplifiers and a Shure automatic mixer so that operation can be “hands off” for most services. For the weekly contemporary mass, Flaherty provided a special dSPEC input with a compressor section to manage the level. Musical groups can connect their own mixers to this input.

At the church’s request, Community custom-painted the Entasys columns to a color chosen to complement the carpet and trim. Flaherty says the church is very pleased with the results. “They’ve gotten nothing but complements about the appearance and the sound,” he said. “Those people who were sitting in the dead spots from the old system can finally hear everything.” Flaherty was also impressed with the musicality of the system. “The spoken word clarity is excellent,” he said, “and the subs add a pleasing low-frequency warmth to the contemporary service.”
