Brings Home Two EXC!TE Awards for Matrix Switcher and Wall Plate Extender, Named Finalist for Manufacturers’ Excellence Award

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Oct. 2, 2013 — Atlona(R), a leading digital AV distribution manufacturer, today announced that the company has won two EXC!TE Awards from Technology Integrator for its AT-PRO3HD66M matrix switcher and AT-HDWP-RSNET HDBaseT(TM) wall plate extender. The AT-PRO3HD66M was also named a finalist for a CEDIA Electronic Lifestyles(R) Award within the Manufacturers’ Excellence category.

“Atlona strives to develop market-changing technology that pushes the boundaries of innovation,” said Ilya Khayn, president and CEO, Atlona. “With products that bring even more speed, reliability, and flexibility to our customers, we are committed to providing exceptional performance and scalability without compromising cost-effectiveness. We are honored to have our new matrix switcher and wall plate extender recognized with these awards and look forward to releasing more leading-edge solutions in the near future.”

Winner of an EXC!TE Award, Atlona’s AT-PRO3HD66M 6×6 HDMI(R) to HDBaseT matrix switcher solutions give fast, reliable extending and switching with HDBaseT and Power over Category cable (PoCc) to connect and route six inputs to eight outputs simultaneously at distances up to 230 feet (70 meters). The unit supports high-resolution HDMI video (up to 1080p or 1920×1200) in addition to multichannel audio and bi-directional RS-232 and IR control. The device was also named a finalist for a CEDIA Manufacturers’ Excellence Award.

Atlona’s new AT-HDWP-RSNET HDBaseT wall plate extender has also been recognized with an EXC!TE Award. The beautifully designed receiver wall plate uses HDBaseT and PoCc to extend HDMI up to 328 feet (100 meters) at resolutions up to Ultra HD (4K), with complete Ethernet, RS-232, and IR control. The AT-HDWP-RSNET offers the ability to switch between HDMI and VGA/audio and features advanced control, locking HDMI ports, USB firmware update ports, and CEC pass-through capabilities. The device mounts directly behind displays, provides full compatibility with both Atlona PRO3HD switchers and HDCAT distribution amplifiers, and has been rigorously tested for interoperability and compatibility with most third-party control systems.

Awarded by Technology Integrator, the annual EXC!TE Awards are presented to industry products that stand out for being innovative, high-performance, and solutions-oriented for the custom installation professional. CEDIA’s Manufacturers’ Excellence Awards recognize the industry’s top products within the residential electronic systems industry by honoring innovation, creativity, and technical skill.
