Listen Technologies Will Continue to Offer InfoComm Renewal Units

Listen Technologies will continue to offer InfoComm International’s Certified Technology Specialists the opportunity to earn four Renewal Units (RU) towards their certification upon successful completion of Level 2 Hearing Loop Training.

Salt Lake City, Utah, USA—Listen Technologies is pleased to announce continued participation as an official InfoComm International Renewal Unit (RU) Provider. This distinction allows over 9,000 professionals with InfoComm International’s Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) credential to earn renewal units towards their certification upon successful completion of Listen’s One-Day Integration & Commissioning of Hearing Loop Systems (Level 2) Training. Four RU of InfoComm CTS Renewal Credits are available upon completion of this one-day class and passing the final exam.

To obtain approval, RU programs must feature experienced instructors with clear evidence of qualifications in the session topic. Each class must contain at least one relevant learning objective or industry-related purpose, relate to a specific exam topic area & exam level, and conclude with an assessment tool to demonstrate that the participants have grasped what the objectives of the class were. The criteria mentioned above are strictly reviewed by InfoComm University’s Certification Renewal Unit Committee.

“Listen Technologies is proud to have renewed its partnership with InfoComm and their CTS Renewal Units program. Through our Level 2 Hearing Loop class we are training both AV Integrators and Consultants to the high standards of the IEC 60118-4 specification, all while earning 4 Renewal Credits towards their CTS certification,” says Michael R. Griffitt, Certified Hearing Loop Instructor at Listen Technologies.

This course includes a full day training session that takes you through the steps that are required to install a Hearing Loop system properly. Those who attend the course gain a hands-on practical experiencing of installing, setting up, testing, and certifying a Hearing Loop system, as well as learning the theories of why it is key to install them properly. At the completion of this session and passing the final exam, participants will be certified as a Listen Hearing Loop Level 2 Integrator, capable of meeting the performance standards of the IEC 60118-4.
