AudioScience announces the half height ASI6788

Smaller is better!

NEWCASTLE, DE (April 6, 2014) AudioScience, Inc., a leader of professional audio peripherals for the broadcast and installed sound industries, has announced a new series of half height sound cards, the ASI6700. The first in the family, the ASI6788 will debut at NAB 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Providing 8 or 16 play streams that are mixed to 8 balanced stereo outputs and 8 record streams fed from 8 balanced stereo inputs, the ASI6788 features AudioScience’s unique “anything to anywhere” mixing and routing. The ASI6788 provides both balanced analog and AES/EBU inputs and outputs. The maximum analog input and output level is +24dBu. The addition of GPIO truly makes the ASI6788 a radio automation system on a card. The ASI6788 contains 8 opto-isolated inputs and eight relay isolated outputs. Standard features of AudioScience’s broadcast sound cards are also included such as MRX multi-rate mixing, TSX compression/expansion and SSX multi-channel mode.

“Noticing many of our customers are now using 2U servers for radio automation, the need for the ½ height ASI6700 family became apparent. With the addition of GPIO this is the perfect product to enable high density radio automation.” Said Richard Gross, President of AudioScience

32 and 64bit drivers are provided for Windows 7, 8, Server 2003/2008, as well as for Linux. SDKs are available for Windows and Linux using either standard APIs such as DirectSound or ALSA, or the proprietary AudioScience HPI and ASX interfaces.

For pricing and further information, contact Richard Gross at +1-302-324-5333 or T.K. Pang in Asia at +65 98184303.
