D-Tools Partners with InfoComm AV-iQ to Make AV-iQ Catalog Available within System Integrator™ Software Platform

Integrated InfoComm AV-iQ data provides SI users with access to comprehensive resource for audio visual equipment, service providers, and case studies to simplify research and specification of manufacturer products

CONCORD, CA, USA – JUNE 9, 2014 —D-Tools, Inc., the worldwide leader in system integration software, announced today it has reached an agreement with InfoComm International to provide D-Tools System Integrator (SI) software users with direct access to the InfoComm AV-iQ Online Resource from within the D-Tools software environment. This partnership will give SI users access to AV-iQ’s comprehensive library of audio-visual manufacturer products, resources and case studies, which will ultimately help further streamline efficiencies for the specification, design, and integration of low voltage electronic systems.

Powered by InfoComm International, AV-iQ provides North American audio-visual integrators with the most comprehensive pro-AV resource available. AV-iQ users are able to explore equipment catalogs by way of a brand-new product data comparison tool and BIM library, and can also access a case study library for cutting-edge installation inspiration. Also provided is the ability to locate nearby service providers with the AV Services Directory and Unified Communications directory, as well as exclusive access to product news, industry updates and tools.

“We’re pleased to integrate our comprehensive industry resource into the D-Tools System Integrator software platform, providing a highly proficient user community of AV integrators greater access to the product specifications that are critical to their success,” said John Fuchs, Senior VP of InfoComm AV-iQ.

The integration of InfoComm AV-iQ data into the D-Tools Data Browser environment will make it easy for SI users to find the right product for the job. As a value-added component of D-Tools SI’s data-driven workflow, AV integrators have a wealth of information available at the critical design and specification phase of the project, greatly reducing research time, and ensuring that they are specifying the best possible solution for their client engagements. With this partnership, the D-Tools software platform is more than just a workflow-enhancing toolset for users; it also provides a window into the audio-visual marketplace at a macro level.

“This relationship gives our users InfoComm AV-iQ’s vast, current, and in-depth product information at the time that they need it most—during the proposal and design part of the job—and as a seamless part of their workflow,” said Tim Bigoness, VP of Sales and Marketing for D-Tools. “We’re excited to provide our users access to this incredible resource directly from the System Integrator software environment as we know it will make a positive impact on their workflow.”

About InfoComm iQ
In addition to being the largest, most comprehensive, single source of audio visual equipment, service providers and case studies in the world other benefits incorporated into the AV-iQ solution include common categorization and common data presentation to simplify research, news, videos and a monthly recap of all new products entered into the database sorted by manufacturer’s name and category. InfoComm AV-iQ also serves another very important role in the Audio Visual community. They define one of the core values brought to the market by resellers and integrators; the audio visual equipment that they are authorized and trained to sell and support. While it is true that many products are now available through distribution, just having access to audio visual equipment for inclusion in projects and systems cannot be the only consideration in choosing products and their providers. Critical to the long-term investment is the proper installation, service and maintenance that is available from the provider to ensure maximum up time and full performance.
