Media Vision USA’s New Technology Launch Allows Remote Audio Conferencing in Multiple Languages.

San Francisco, CA, October 29, 2012 – Media Vision USA is pleased to introduce Attend: the world’s first technology solution for multilingual remote participation. Attend allows remote attendees to dial in to a meeting and both listen and speak in their preferred language making use of the same interpreters that are serving the meeting venue.

“The launch of Attend is a great step forward for our company and the international meeting community that we support” said Fardad Zabetian, CEO of Media Vision USA “Enhancing communication in cross-cultural settings has always been our core focus”.

The Attend technology, designed and manufactured in California, is a remarkable addition to any microphone system installation in an organization holding multilingual meetings – most likely international organizations, courtrooms, universities or large corporation. This long-awaited solution will be a source of travel costs savings but the most important is how it will enhance the quality of meetings, as Fardad explained: “Attend encourages the inclusion of more meeting participants and thus more expertise than would otherwise be possible”.

The solution consists in a self-contained hardware unit acting as the interface between the in-room audio system and the teleconference cloud service. The Attend Multilingual Remote Audio Interface offers line-level inputs and outputs to connect directly to the floor and up to 15 language channels as supported by the interpreters at the meeting venue.

The web-based interface to the audio teleconferencing service allows authorized users to create, schedule and manage meetings and decide on a wide range of meeting parameters such as security and login, dial-in or dial-out and VoIP parameters. Once the meeting is in progress, the authorized moderator can use the online dashboard to monitor who is present, what languages are being used, and dial-out to new participants as needed.

“It is important that these sophisticated meetings be handled with a high level of control and security” says Fardad “Remote participants are subject to the same rules as the ones applied to the in-room conference system users and the moderator keeps full control over requests to speak and who is heard on the floor channel.”

The Attend technology is being introduced at the AES convention by Media Vision USA and asserts the company as the lead provider of professional wired and wireless conferencing solutions for high-profile meetings including distance communication and multilingual support.

TAIDEN the Conferencing Technology for 31 Leaders to Communicate in 14 Languages during the G20 Summit

Last month in Los Cabos, Mexico, for the annual G20 Leader’s Summit, the heads of government, heads of international organizations, central bank governors, and other high-profile attendees used the TAIDEN conferencing and interpretation systems to communicate effectively during 4 days of meetings, in multiple languages.

This was the culmination of a series of large events in North America selecting a TAIDEN conferencing rental house as equipment provider to ensure the flawless implementation of meetings. For Media Vision USA, TAIDEN’s exclusive distributor in the US, Canada and Mexico, this is due to the technical features and flexibility offered by the TAIDEN technologies as well as to the availability of large quantities of recent, fully digital conferencing equipment for rental.

“In Media Vision’s TAIDEN rental network, companies have all the right technologies to respond to technical requirements such as all-digital conferencing, 32 channels of digital infrared language distribution, room overflow for the press center or remote interpretation” says Fardad Zabetian, CEO of Media Vision USA, “With all the high-profile events done in the past years, our rental network also has the experience to ensure expert setups, prompt adjustments and professional services; The staff is always what makes the difference”.

For the G20, meetings were held in 4 different event sites and about 20 rooms. Remote interpretation was setup for some sessions including for the G20 Leaders’ Dinner and the Press Center with interpreters using the booths in the main Plenary room and receiving video and audio feed from the rooms at the other side of the Convention Center. For the key meetings – the G20 Plenary Sessions with 31 heads of State, including President Obama, and international organizations – the ultimate TAIDEN HCS-4886/50 Fully Digital Conferencing Microphone with built-in channel selector and a large LCD display was used ensuring that the full spectrum of features would be available.

In the past years, TAIDEN conferencing and interpretation systems were also used for the IMF and World Bank Annual Meetings in Washington D.C. Another key statistic: the largest global forum ever held in Mexico, the October 2010 International Telecommunication Union Plenipotentiary Conference, had a setup of about 1500 TAIDEN conferencing microphone units and 2600 digital infrared receivers for language distribution that worked flawlessly for the 18-day duration of the event.

With such references, Media Vision USA can only expect that the demand for TAIDEN conferencing and language interpretation technologies to be used for large events will keep on growing in the upcoming years. Media Vision USA Releases Industry-First Digital Audio Mixer for Conference Systems

San Francisco, CA, July 20, 2012 – The new TAIDEN HCS-8301M Digital Audio Mixer gives conference systems operators control over the audio level of conference microphones, interpreter consoles and system inputs/outputs, all without the need of a PC. This technology, exclusively offered by Media Vision USA, is a stunning new addition to the expansive 8300 Paperless Multimedia Congress System series. With the TAIDEN HCS-8301M Digital Audio Mixer, conference meetings are now able to run at an unparalleled level of efficiency and sophistication.

The HCS-8301M is a robust 15-channel hardware mixer, with fader attenuation at a range of -30dB to 0dB. The operator has control of up to 6 active microphones at any one time during meetings, ensuring effortless real-time volume adjustment tailored to the current speaker’s voice. This mixer features 11 banks of simultaneous interpretation audio (6 channels per bank), allowing the operator to evenly balance the language channels. The onboard dynamic processor offers a 5-band equalizer for the microphone, line in and line out channels and a 3-band EQ for interpretation channels. A high pass filter, mute capability and peak indicator on each channel strip allows even further control of audio.

The mixer’s 10-inch LCD touch screen enables users to easily monitor audio levels, language channels, and system connections. With the use of the touch screen users have access to the mixer’s internal settings, such as IP and network settings, allowing interconnectivity between TAIDEN’s Digital Conference Software.

“This new product from TAIDEN is important not because of its innovation in design, but because of its simple practicality,” said Wesley Sutliff, Product Manager of Media Vision USA. “Who wants to sit at a PC clicking on virtual faders with a mouse? The 8301M from TAIDEN provides a familiar control format for Audio Engineers and System Operators, and that familiarity will allow them to perform their jobs with better efficiency.”

The TAIDEN HCS-8301M adds even more versatility and enhanced control over the industry-leading 8300 Paperless Multimedia Congress System. It is compatible with existing popular TAIDEN products such as the 8318 Multimedia Terminal Unit, the 4886/4330 Delegate Microphone, and the 4385 Interpreter Console. When utilizing the TAIDEN Room Combiner, the mixer remains the unified source for all rooms, delegates or even borrowed interpreter stations. For system operators, the 8301M makes meeting management incredibly simple.

The TAIDEN HCS-8301M Digital Audio Mixer is available throughout the existing Media Vision USA representation network in North America.

Media Vision USA Celebrates 10-Year Anniversary during InfoComm; Looking back on a Perfect American Journey to Success.

“It took just about ten years for the industry to know we’ve arrived!” said Fardad Zabetian, Founder and CEO of Media Vision USA, as he announced the 10-year anniversary of the company, “Now that the TAIDEN microphones and interpretation systems have become a reference in the conferencing world, Media Vision is ready to take a great leap forward!”

A tremendous growth pace and key contracts signed in the past years have given Fardad Zabetian all the reasons to speak with such confidence. The defining moment being in late 2011, when Media Vision was awarded the contract to provide all congress microphones and simultaneous interpretation systems for the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Since then, opportunities with both the public and the private sectors have surged.

Media Vision USA celebrated its 10-year anniversary during InfoComm 2012 in Las Vegas. The company was founded in June of 2002 in the San Francisco Bay Area. Following the thriving Silicon Valley spirit, Media Vision’s founding history is filled with the flavors of entrepreneurship, risk-taking, hard work and most of all the dreams of an immigrant making it all happen. In 2002, Fardad was a recent immigrant from Iran who had experienced 8-years of the Iran-Iraq war. America gave him a chance to pursue his dreams; starting a company to enhance communication among political figures, administrators, CEO’s and corporate members of diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

This all-American story wouldn’t be complete without the collaboration of great partners and team members. The first one to join Media Vision was Wesley Sutliff, now a Product Manager. Later came industry experts Patrick Herlihy, based in Washington DC, and David Dunn based in Toronto. “In the past year only, we have hired four people for technical and customer support,” said Fardad Zabetian “We are doing what it takes to ensure that customers keep on receiving the attention and service they demand. For us, business growth and customer-orientation stick together”.

Through the years, Media Vision was also able to maintain a rich company culture based on excellence, diversity and positive attitude. The same values were applied when, in 2006, Media Vision selected TAIDEN of Shenzhen, China, as their manufacturing partner. “At the time, TAIDEN wasn’t a major player in North America; but they already had excellent solutions, dynamic strategies for innovation, and most of all, a management and engineering team willing to give its all to succeed” said Fardad, “With the recent release of the 8300 Paperless Multimedia Conference System, TAIDEN exceeded all our expectations. We are proud to be working with them!”. As a result of a six-year partnership, with Media Vision’s sales and marketing drive, TAIDEN is now the leading brand for conference systems in the United States and Canada.

With the announcement of Media Vision’s anniversary, an apparent excitement animated the entire team. “We’re celebrating!” said Wesley Sutliff “We’ve worked hard, even more through tough economic times, now we all feel rewarded for a job well done. Still, it’s only the beginning”. Wesley continued by describing how overall, working in the niche market for conference systems gets more and more rewarding every day, as you know your products are serving high-profile public figures and key decision-makers. “We are providing all microphones and interpretation systems for the 2012 G-20 Mexico Summit this month. So we are all hoping, as an anniversary gift, to see the TAIDEN mics used by the President of the United States!”

Fardad Zabetian concluded his announcement with a note of thanks towards the Media Vision team, our reps and partners, as well as the ever-extending network of dealers and consultants throughout North America. “ I have special thoughts for all of those who believed in the company from the start, we couldn’t have done it without them.”
