With brightness up to 3100 lumens and an ultra short throw ratio of 0.28:1, Casio’s new XJ-UT310WN is the world’s brightest LampFree® Ultra Short Throw projector* available. Primarily designed for the education market where Ultra Short throw projectors are becoming the standard, the XJ-UT310WN offers WXGA resolution and required connectivity plus a suite of application tools which easily integrate today’s mobile technology into the classroom.

Weighing less than 13 pounds, Casio’s XJ-UT310WNnot only enables projection from data files stored on a USB memory device, ** but also allows wireless connection to smart phones*** and computers via wireless LAN (IEEE 802.11b/g). The built in 2 GB of memory allows many file formats, such as PDF and QuickTime, to be stored in the projector for quick and easy playback. A full range of input terminals including HDMI RGB and video inputs provide connectivity to standard hardware sources. Audio inputs and a built in 16 watt speaker ensure all students can hear and a microphone terminal allows for teacher sound reinforcement. Ideal for classroom use, Casio’s XJ-UT310WN projector provides a 0.28:1 throw ratio using a mirror system which allows up to a 23” throw distance for a 67” image. This ultra short throw projector also has a new structure that has been developed to minimize deterioration of brightness due to dust.  The XJ-UT310WN even enables educators to display content from a mobile device, which can also be used to control presentations eliminating the need for additional hardware and equipment.

Using Casio’s free mobile application – compatible with both Apple and Android – educators can easily integrate technology into the classroom. The mobile application allows educators to display and annotate presentations from a mobile device, as well as capture and save. In addition, educators can open an Internet browser and display content in real-time. There is also an image capture function using the mobile device’s camera to snap an image and send it to the projector.

Finally, educators and IT managers will be able to enjoy all of the benefits of Casio’s LampFree® projectors in an Ultra Short Throw format with the XJ-UT310WN. Casio Takes DJ Equipment to the Next Level at DJ Expo

ATLANTIC CITY, NEW JERSEY, August 14, 2013 – Casio is excited to announce its participation in the world’s largest annual gathering of professional DJs, the 2013 DJ Expo presented by DJ Times magazine. DJ Times magazine presented its first DJ Expo in 1990 and 23 years later, it has become the DJ industry’s best-attended trade show/exhibition. Casio will not only exhibit its XW series of synthesizers, but it will also showcase its SLIM projector line on August 12-15, 2013 at the Trump Taj  Mahal in Atlantic City, NJ.

The XW-G1 Groove Synthesizer was specifically designed for the DJ and club performer providing an interactive step sequencer and a sample looper for digitally capturing performance patterns and external instruments. The XW-P1 is a 61 key performance synthesizer equipped with Casio’s exclusive Hybrid Processing Sound Source. It provides screaming virtual analog monophonic leads and basses, drawbar organs, complex layers, stereo pianos, drums and more. With the sounds and real-time control, the XW-P1 offers a variety of advanced features and technological functions performing musicians need.

Providing everything from pulsing dance grooves to animated synth textures and arpeggios, the Step Sequencer in both the XW-P1 and XW-G1 is the first of its kind. With nine tracks for drums, basses, synths and chordal parts, four controller tracks for adding panning, filter changes and other animation to existing parts and eight patterns that make up each sequence; the user can build and mix their performance on the fly. Sequences can even transpose live from the keyboard, providing a completely interactive experience. The XW’s unique six oscillator design can emulate classic analog synths, and create powerful leads and huge bass sounds. Tracks in the Step Sequencer can even drive other MIDI devices and computer applications including the iPad®.

In addition to its XW series of synthesizers, Casio will also showcase its SLIM projector line, specifically the XJ-A251 as a video solution for DJs. The SLIM projector’s 2X power zoom lens will project a large image from close range (60″ diagonal at 6 feet) without taking a lot of space and its multiple inputs can project content from a wide assortment of devices including a computer, DVD player or a video camera for live video.

Casio Launches Extra Value Warranty Program for Entire Portfolio of Lampfree Projectors

DOVER, NJ, August 15, 2013 – Casio America, Inc. a leading manufacturer of projection technology, announced today the launch of a new Extra Value Warranty Program for its portfolio of LampFree projectors. The purchase program offers a one-year or two-year extension for up to a total of five years of coverage for parts and labor. This new extended warranty is available for purchase at any time during the original warranty period and applies to the Signature, Short Throw, SLIM and Pro series of projectors.

“The launch of the Extra Value Warranty Program demonstrates our commitment to providing consumers with high-quality, industry-leading LampFree projectors,” said Matt Mustachio, general manager of Casio’s Business Projector Division. “With this new program, Casio has made one of the industry’s best warranties even better. It allows consumers to purchase LampFree projectors with the assurance that they will receive reliable, long-term operation.”

Casio’s original warranty program offered three years parts and labor coverage and several of the models offered a warranty on the LASER & LED Hybrid Light Source for up to five years or 10,000 hours. Depending on which option the consumer chooses, the Extra Value Warranty extends the standard parts & labor coverage for up to two additional years after the standard warranty ends.

For consumers who use Casio’s LampFree projectors frequently – ten hours per day for five or more days per week – Casio also offers Extended Use Applications. The standard light source warranty is one year or 6,000 hours, but with the Extended Use Application, consumers can purchase a two year Light Source Extended warranty, which will provide three years parts and labor and three years or 15,000 hours on the light source.

Extended warranties are available for purchase through Casio’s Authorized Dealer and Reseller Network. Depending on the model, the extended warranty price ranges from $100.00 to $360.00.

Buffalo Wild Wings Enhances Game Day Atmosphere with Casio’s LampFree Projectors

Buffalo Wild Wings, a popular sports bar/restaurant franchise based in the United States, wanted to visually enhance and transform its customers’ overall casual dining experience. To do so, Buffalo Wild Wings Franchisee (AMPAL Restaurant Group) sought out DFX – a company specializing in audio, visual, lighting and automation solutions across a number of verticals – to help find high-quality, low maintenance projectors for daily sports viewing. With the help of DFX located in West Berlin, AMPAL  installed 15 of Casio’s projectors across three AMPAL Buffalo Wild Wing  locations in New Jersey.

 

DFX recommended Casio’s portfolio of projectors because they are LampFree and run on Casio’s state-of-the-art LASER & LED Hybrid Light Source. This means users do not have to replace lamps every 2-3 months, which typically cost almost as much as the original projector cost over one year. With the projectors having an estimated lifespan of 20,000 hours, Buffalo Wild Wings can now provide on-going sports coverage, since the projectors usually run more than 10 hours a day.

Three Buffalo Wild Wings locations in New Jersey are currently equipped with Casio’s Dual Projection Systems and Pro XJ H2600 projectors; four (4) in Monmouth Mall, five (5) in Rockaway and six (6) in Watchung, NJ.

 

The Dual Projection  System, designed with two Casio projectors stacked on top of one another, projects two sharp, high-quality images, which the Convex System control box then merges into one screen. It is available in two different models; the XJ-SK650 and the XJ-SK600. The XJ-SK650 features double stacked Pro Series XJ-H2600 projectors and provides users with up to 6,500 lumens, while the XJ-SK600 features double stacked Signature Series XJ-M250 projectors and provides up to 6,000 lumens. Both of these models provide roughly twice the lumen output provided by a single projector.

 

The Dual Projection System includes two (2) projectors, ceiling mount housing and the Convex System control box, which corrects and merges screen images. The system features high-precision correction and an interface that allows easy modifications using a remote control.

Projector Stacking System and YA-S10 Converter System Offer Innovative Technology

LAS VEGAS, NV (FEBRUARY 27, 2013) — Casio America Inc. , a leader in the digital projection industry, is proud to introduce two new systems ideal for a variety of digital signage applications – the Projector Stacking System and the YA-S10 Converter System. Featuring Casio’s LampFree™ LASER & LED Hybrid Light Source, the Projector Stacking System is available in two different models, the XJ SK650 and the XJ-SK600. The YA-S10 Converter System features cutting edge technology that allows a single projector to display images on curved surfaces. Both systems will be exhibited in Casio’s booth (#147) at the Digital Signage Expo at the Las Vegas Convention Center, February 27-28, 2013.

The Projector Stacking System, designed with two Casio projectors stacked on top of one another, projects two sharp, high-quality images, which the YA-S10 Converter System control box then merges into one screen. It is available in two different models; the XJ-SK650 and the XJ-SK600. The XJ-SK650 features double stacked Pro Series XJ-H2600 projectors and provides users with up to 6,500 lumens, while the XJ-SK600 features double stacked Signature Series XJ-M250 projectors and provides up to 6,000 lumens. Both of these models provide roughly twice the lumen output provided by a single projector.

The Projector Stacking System includes two (2) projectors, ceiling mount housing and the YA-S10 Converter System control box, which corrects and merges screen images. The system features high-precision correction and an interface that allows easy modifications using a remote control. The YA-S10 Converter System control box focuses on image alignment with each of the projectors in the Stacking System. When the YA-S10 Converter System correction box is connected, both projectors can also project high brightness images at any angle making the Projector Stacking System ideal for digital signage, sports bars, house of worship and many large venue applications.

When used separately Casio’s YA-S10 Converter System enables users to project images onto curved pillars, round areas, flat surfaces or any unique shape. The system is set up to adjust any image misalignment or distortion without the need for additional hardware. Using the YA-S10 Converter System with any Casio LampFree™ projector, images can be corrected for curved surfaces using free-form surface compensation with a lattice of up to 81 grid points for adjustments.

Both the Projector Stacking System and Convex System are powered by Casio’s state-of-the-art LASER & LED HYBRID Light Source, which provides Lamp-Free, eco-friendly data projection at a percentage of the cost of traditional projectors. Casio’s LASER & LED Hybrid Light Source combines blue laser light and a fluorescent element to generate a high output of green light. The green light, blue laser light, and the light emitted by a red LED are projected through a DLP® chip which, in turn, is passed through the projection lens to form an image. This technology achieves an increase in color spectrum compared with a mercury lamp, while lowering a projector’s total cost of ownership and maximizing investment. Since there is only minimal loss of brightness even during long-term use, it is ideal for those heavy-duty applications involving frequent use of projection such as retail stores, grocery stores, restaurants, offices and other environments. With an estimated life span of 20,000 hours, both systems ensure low
maintenance and streamlined costs.

DOVER, NJ, (AUGUST 22, 2012) - Main Event Entertainment™, a leading family entertainment center based in Plano, Texas wanted to visually enhance and transform their customers’ overall bowling experience.  To do so, the Center sought out SAVE Electronics –  a leading solutions provider of presentation, entertainment and communications systems components and support for business and home systems to help find a less expensive and low maintenance projector for wall-to-wall entertainment. With the help of SAVE Electronics located in Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex, SAVE Electronics installed 40 of Casio’s Signature XJ-M250
projectors across three different Main Event locations.

SAVE Electronics suggested Casio’s Signature XJ-M250 projectors because they are lamp-free and run on Casio’s state-of-the-art LASER & LED Hybrid Light Source. This means users do not have to replace lamps every 2-3 months, which typically costs almost as much as the original projector cost over one year. With the projectors having an estimated lifespan of 20,000 hours, Main Event can now provide on-going visual footage, since the projectors typically run 14-16 hours a day.

“I have been in this business for more than 30 years and found Casio’s Signature XJ-M250 projector to be incomparable,” said Tim Boyd, president of SAVE Electronics. “The fact that it can withstand such a high amount of daily use is a major benefit. Additionally, the XJ-M250 is one of the brightest Lamp Free Laser & LED projectors on the market and the zoom feature works great, while still allowing the brightness of the image to stay intact.”

With Casio’s XJ-M250, Main Event can shut down the projectors every day without worrying about additional setup time. When the power is turned back on, the projectors retain memory of the zoom settings and cut down on calibration time. Even if the Center were to lose power during a thunderstorm, this easy to use system will not lose the data needed to keep the visual effects running when power is restored.  Since the projectors use Laser & LED’s it only takes eight seconds from Power on to reach full brightness. And instant OFF capability means no cool down time.

This projector has transformed Main Event Bowling Centers into an amazing digital experience for consumers.”

Casio’s Signature XJ-M250 projectors are set up at the end of all bowling lanes, right above the pins, from floor to ceiling. The units can project advertisements, live video of sporting events, music videos and more. Controlled by Crestron, the projectors have an additional switcher that allows managers to choose from six different DirectTV networks.

Main Event set up 11 projectors in their first location, which became the first full digital building in the United States. After testing Casio’s projectors in this location, Main Event Bowling Center decided to implement the projectors in two other locations as well. They went on to set up 12 projectors in a second location and 17 in a third. Currently, Main Event Bowling Center is building a new location in Katy, Texas, which will include 14 Casio projectors.
