CASIO’S LAMPFREE® PROJECTORS LIGHT UP THE LANES AT BOWLMOR AMF BOWLING FACILITIES

CASIO’S LAMPFREE® PROJECTORS LIGHT UP THE LANES AT BOWLMOR AMF BOWLING FACILITIES

Bowlmor AMF, the largest operator of bowling centers in the world, wanted to enhance its customers’ bowling experience with new and exciting visual technology. To do this, the company partnered with Casio America, Inc., a leading manufacturer of projection technology, to transform its bowling centers with Casio LampFree® projectors to offer wall-to-wall entertainment. To date, Bowlmor AMF has installed 200 Casio projectors in various locations, including both Casio’s SignatureXJ-M255 and Pro XJ-H2650 models, with plans to purchase additional Casio projectors for its remaining locations by the end of 2015.

“Our company spent a lot of time researching the best projection technology for our bowling alleys and found that the Casio projectors are unmatched in terms of its LED Hybrid Light Source, affordability, and long term use,” said Levan Natsvlishvili, AV director of Bowlmor AMF. “We purchased both the Casio Signature and Pro models and found that these projectors are ideal for the applications we are using.”

Bowlmor AMF chose Casio’s projectors specifically because of its LampFree® technology and state-of-the-art LASER & LED Hybrid Light Source. Casio projectors provide users with a 20,000 hour estimated lifespan, and unlike competitive projectors with lamps, they eliminate the need for expensive projection lamps that often need replacement and can cost almost as much as the original projector unit over one year. These units are also mercury-free, eliminating concerns for the proper disposal of used lamps and mercury pollution.

“We have worked with Casio products before and the projectors we have installed have exceeded our expectations,” said Natsvlishvili. “Casio has always been known for providing a superior product and the LampFree® line of projectors will help enhance the customer experience.”

Throughout many Bowlmor AMF locations, Casio projectors are mounted on the ceilings and project images and videos on the wall right above the pins.  The units can project advertisements, live video of sporting events, music videos and more. Each bowling alley can run video feed as long as 12-14 hours per day and can shut the units down easily without worrying about additional setup time. The next day when the power is turned back on, the projectors retain memory of the predetermined settings and cut down on calibration time. Also, since the projectors use Laser & LEDs it only takes eight seconds from power on to reach full brightness.

“Casio is proud to provide its state-of-the-art projectors to Bowlmor AMF’s bowling centers,” said Matt Mustachio, general manager of Casio’s Business Projector Division. “We know our units will reduce operating costs for the facilities and create a fun and inviting digital atmosphere for the customers.  We look forward to building upon our relationship with Bowlmor AMF as they continue to upgrade locations nationwide.”

Bowlmor AMF will continue to upgrade locations across the country for the next two years. In launching its newest bowling concept, Bowlero, in The Woodlands ,Texas, Bowlmor AMF installed 20 Casio projectors in the 40-lane bowling alley to provide high-quality entertainment for consumers and enhance the party atmosphere. With Casio projectors, Bowlmor AMF looks to amplify the entertainment aspect of the sport while providing the ultimate bowling experience to its customers.

“The Casio projectors we installed have met needs beyond our expectations. Phoenix Union High School District Brightens Its Classrooms with Casio’s Lampfree™ Projectors

Phoenix Union High School District Brightens Its Classrooms with Casio’s Lampfree™ Projectors

Today, educators are tasked with choosing viable technologies to integrate into the classroom that are not only engaging, but also portable, easy-to-use and, most importantly, cost-effective. With limited budgets, choosing the best technology with the lowest total cost of ownership is paramount.

As part of an overall engagement initiative, the Phoenix Union High School district in Arizona wanted to replace existing and inefficient classroom projectors with a bulb-less, green solution; to do so, the Phoenix Union High School district sought out ImmediaEdu – a company specializing in integrated AV systems and interactive classrooms to improve student achievement and teacher effectiveness – to help find high-quality, low maintenance projectors for ongoing classroom use. With the help of ImmediaEdu, located in Phoenix, AZ, the Phoenix Union High School district installed 1,480 of Casio’s Signature XJ-M250 projectors across all of its campuses, which accounts for 16 schools with more than 27,000 students and nearly 3,000 employees.

ImmediaEdu recommended Casio’s Signature XJ-M250 projectors because they are LampFreeTM and they run on Casio’s state-of-the-art LASER & LED Hybrid Light Source. This means that expensive lamps – which typically cost almost as much as the original projector over the course of one year – do not need to be replaced every few months. With the projectors having an estimated lifespan of 20,000 hours, Phoenix Union schools can run the projectors as often as necessary.

“Only a few manufacturers offered lamp-free LED projectors when we started the Phoenix Union project, but Casio offered the most powerful LampFreeTM light engine for the price range,” said Alexis Cruz-Christensen, Vice President, educational partnerships at ImmediaEdu. “Additionally, with a large zoom range, Casio’s LampFreeTM projectors allowed us to replace a variety of existing projectors with different throw ranges without having to move existing ceiling mounts – making the transition easier for all parties involved.”

“Casio was pleased to have worked with ImmediaEdu on this project,” said Matt Mustachio, general manager of Casio’s Business Projector Division. “We understand that budgets are limited, so it’s very rewarding when working with educators to help them get the best solution based hardware offered today.  Casio has been providing LampFreeTM solutions for educators for several years and will continue to grow our lineup in the education sector, offering solutions is much more satisfying than simply offering product.”

Casio’s Signature XJ-M250 LampFreeTM projectors are DLP™ 3D ready and can display 3D content from a 3D capable computer. Educators can engage students on an entirely new level by bringing challenging lessons and lectures to life with vivid and exciting images that jump off the screen. Educators can also convert and view their own 2D material with the optional 2D-3D conversion software, which will help produce imaginative and relevant visuals and lesson materials. Additionally, the Intelligent Brightness Control features an ECO function which conserves power while illuminating sharp imagery, automatically adjusting the brightness to suit the environmental lighting conditions of any lecture hall and classroom.

Casio’s warranty program offers three years parts and labor coverage and several of the models offer a warranty on the LASER & LED Hybrid Light Source for up to five years or 10,000 hours With Casio’s Extra Value Warranty Program, educators can use the projector for approximately 1,000 hours per school year, which equals 10 years of total operation.

“Overall, Casio’s XJ-M250 projectors operate cooler, use significantly less power than traditional bulb projectors and are bright enough to be used in a fully lit room with the window shades open,” said Don Fournier, Division Manager of Information Technology for Phoenix Union. “With a five year warranty on the light source, the projectors are essentially maintenance-free.”

With nine tracks for drums, basses, synths and chordal parts, four controller tracks for adding panning, filter changes and other animation to existing parts and eight patterns that make up each sequence; the user can build and mix their performance on the fly. Sequences can even transpose live from the keyboard, providing a completely interactive experience. The XW’s unique six oscillator design can emulate classic analog synths, and create powerful leads and huge bass sounds. Tracks in the Step Sequencer can even drive other MIDI devices and computer applications including the iPad®.

In addition to its XW series of synthesizers, Casio will also showcase its SLIM projector line, specifically the XJ-A251 as a video solution for DJs. The SLIM projector’s 2X power zoom lens will project a large image from close range (60″ diagonal at 6 feet) without taking a lot of space and its multiple inputs can project content from a wide assortment of devices including a computer, DVD player or a video camera for live video.

“Today, many DJs are adding video elements into their performances and they need projectors that are portable but still deliver great quality and wide screen resolutions,” said Matt Mustachio, general manager of Casio’s Business Projector Division. “With their lightweight and slim design, Casio’s SLIM projectors are ideal for DJs who travel from gig to gig and need equipment to fit their needs. Our SLIM series is not only compact, but is rich in features ideal for the DJ space.”

Weighing in at only five pounds, Casio’s SLIM projectors are 1.7 inches wide, making them the thinnest high brightness projectors in the industry. The SLIM projectors are powered by Casio’s state-of-the-art LASER & LED HYBRID Light Source and DLP technology that provides LampFreeTM, eco-friendly data projection at a fraction of the cost of traditional projectors. Casio’s
LASER & LED HYBRID Light Source combines blue laser light and a fluorescent element to generate a high output of green light. The green light, blue laser light, and the light emitted by a red LED are projected through a DLP® chip which, in turn, is passed through the projection lens to form an image. This technology achieves an increase in color spectrum compared with a mercury lamp, while lowering a projector’s total cost of ownership and maximizing investment. Finally, all of Casio’s SLIM projectors are LampFreeTM, which delivers hours of reliable operation without concerns for a dark screen or high frequent costs of mercury lamp replacement.
