Sound Kingdom Changes Name to Event Systems and Adds L-ACOUSTICS

WICHITA, Kansas — On the cusp of celebrating its tenth year of business in the production services market, Wichita-based Sound Kingdom, Inc. has now changed its name to Event Systems, Inc. and expanded its L-ACOUSTICS inventory with the purchase of six ARCS line source systems, four 12XT coaxials, and an additional LA8 amplified controller.

The new gear complements an existing equipment roster that includes 18 KIVA and six KILO elements — collectively driven by a single LA-RAK — plus six 115XT HiQ coaxial stage wedges and two tiny 108P self-powered enclosures. more

L-ACOUSTICS K1 Used To Inaugurate New Kiev UEFA Stadium

KIEV, Ukraine — Fotis Sound, L-ACOUSTICS’ Polish rental network agent, has provided an L-ACOUSTICS K1 WST line source system for the opening of the Olympic Stadium in Kiev in preparation for the UEFA Euro 2012 Football Championship.

The opening ceremony, under the guidance of director Alexey Batkovsky, was based on Ukrainian history, with more than 2,000 volunteers and dancers involved in the larger performances. At the concert’s finale, Shakira appeared on stage to a backdrop of spectacular fireworks before an audience of 50,000, including Ukrainian president Victor Janukovich. more

L-ACOUSTICS KARA installed in Norwegian National Theatre

OSLO, Norway — Norwegian distributor Scandec Systemer has supplied and installed an L-ACOUSTICS KARA WST line source system in the Norwegian National Theatre in Oslo.

The new system consists of seven KARA cabinets flown with two SB18 subs per side, with a center array of 10 KIVA speakers. The system is driven by LA4 and LA8 amplified controllers. more

L-ACOUSTICS KARAi Makes Waves In New Cruise Ship Installation

HAMBURG, Germany — An L-ACOUSTICS KARAi modular WST line source system for permanent installation has been installed into the 881-seat Celebrity Theatre of the Mein Schiff 2 cruise ship.
