Boston Avenue United Methodist Church, located in downtown Tulsa, Ok., recently received an extensive upgrade to its sound system, courtesy of Oklahoma City-based AV-interiors. The church, one of Tulsa’s Art Deco jewels, was built in 1925 and designed by Frank Lloyd Wright protégé Bruce Goff. The building was included in the United States’ National Register of Historic Places in 1978. Because of its cultural and architectural significance, Boston Avenue church required an upgrade that wouldn’t compromise its renowned aesthetics. Straubing – The “Stadttheater Am Hagen,� as the municipal theatre in Straubing is known, is an affiliate of the Landestheater Niederbayern (Lower Bavarian State Theatre). In 2003, the theatre was thoroughly renovated and now seats 330. To make it possible to stage lavish musicals and other musical productions in future, it was necessary to reequip the auditorium with new sound equipment. After an initial enquiry in Dec. 2008, TRE Professionelle Audiotechnik, which is based in Parkstetten, was entrusted with the installation. The brand new 40,000 sq. ft. city hall and police station in the Seattle suburb of Sammamish, Wash. has a sq. ft. of space for each of the city’s 40,000 residents. It’s is a beautiful facility that compliments the local environment perfectly. That being said, the technologies used within the building needed to be equally complimentary to their architectural surroundings – the facility’s Telex Radio Dispatch equipment being a prime example of an appropriately seamless systems installation.
