Electrosonic Systems Inc. (Electrosonic) was the AV designer and integrator for the new sanctuary at Northland, A Church Distributed in Longwood, Florida as it moved from a converted skating rink seating about 1,200 parishioners to a purpose-built sanctuary seating 3,000 and boasting classrooms for adults and children, a day-care center, cafe, bookstore and offices. Concept consulting design was performed by Platt Design Group in Sierra Madre, CA. A nondenominational distributed church, Northland streams its services online and coordinates with services held at other locations in Florida and across the globe. more

Medialon Manager was selected by Bowen Technovation for system control at the new Medal of Honor Museum, part of the Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum in the harbor of Charleston, South Carolina. More than 40 recipients of the Medal of Honor, which has become synonymous with bravery and heroism, helped cut the ribbon for the museum located on the hangar deck of the USS Yorktown. “NBC Nightly News” anchor Brian Williams was the emcee for the gala opening; his newscast originated from Patriots Point. more

Thomas J. Kulikowski has joined Electrosonic as General Manager of the Working Environments business for the Americas. He comes onboard after serving as President of the Advanced Communications Technologies division of Telex Communications which sold audio and data communication products for wireless applications in the aviation, government, military and education markets.
“Tom is a seasoned business professional with experience in both large and small technology companies and has a proven track record of success,” says Electrosonic Group President and CEO, Kyle M. Carpenter. “He brings a solid mix of strategic planning, hands-on sales management and effective P&L control to this position and will be a strong addition to the Electrosonic senior management team.” Kulikowski‘s post was previously held by Alan Dresner, a well-known and well-respected figure in the industry, who passed away in July. more

Behind the scenes in the Vulcania theme park near Clermont Ferrand in France‘s central Auvergne province, Medialon Manager controls the exciting new Magma Explorer simulator ride which takes visitors on a spectacular journey into the inner life of a volcano. Vulcania is located close to the Puy-de-Dôme in a chain of long-dormant volcanoes.
Park visitors become Vulcanauts when they board the futuristic Magma Explorer vessel to take a virtual trip into the depths of a volcano, through the magma chambers and back to the surface through the volcano‘s pipe. more

Rapenburg Plaza has supplied the new De Kunstlinie theater in Almere, the Netherlands with a fully-controlled theater stage-management system controlled by Medialon Manager. Amsterdam-based Rapenburg Plaza designed and integrated the system into the building, which was finished last December after two-and-a-half years of construction. The architecturally-stunning theater is situated in the city center on the shores of Weerwater lake. more
Holland America Line will be converting all of its five-star fleet‘s theaters, discos and night clubs to Look Solutions‘ Unique hazers in the next two years. The first Holland America ship to make the change was the ms Rotterdam in 2005, and about half of the line has already switched over. The newest vessel, ms Noordam, was delivered with Unique2 hazers in place.

The “Welcome Wall” is a dynamic and colorful entry statement in keeping with the warm, people-friendly spirit of the facility designed by celebrated architect I.M. Pei. The stunning hospital incorporates graceful curving forms and openness which are echoed in the curved Welcome Wall housed in the airy, light-filled lobby. more
