Last month Minicom Digital Signage (MDS), Broadsign and Samsung hosted a Digital Signage Ecosystem training day. It consisted of two ½ day sessions with in-depth presentations on Broadsign, Samsung and MDS technologies. Broadsign discussed its flexible content creation and management system. Samsung’s presentation focused on their reliable, low energy consumption Professional Display screens including their ultra thin bezel offerings for video walls. MDS presented its solutions for media distribution and control which help reduce the cost of installing and operating a Digital Signage network. more

Minicom Digital Signage is proud to have been appointed by Screenmedia Expo to run again the Digital Signage Showcase (DSS) at the 2010 Screenmedia Expo in London.

DSS is aimed at providing on-floor education to the endusers and integrators visiting Screenmedia Expo. The digital signage industry is a fragmented collection of several hundred technology and solution providers, each of them providing one piece of the puzzle in the digital signage eco-system. The enthusiastic team at Switzerland’s screenIMAGE had a vision and a corresponding business plan: a wide-area digital display network across 50 select, upscale bars that would generate sales and increase profits for all parties using Point of Sales (POS) advertising.

screenIMAGE therefore needed to come up with a pricing model that wouldn’t cost the bars any cash outlay. The company decided to fund the installation of the screens, to generate income by selling advertising, and to share profits from the advertisers with the bars. JERUSALEM, ISRAEL (March 24, 2010) – Minicom Advanced Systems, a developer of remote access, KVM, and digital signage solutions, today announced that it would spinout its digital signage division (“MDS?). The new company simultaneously announced that it had raised $6 million to finance its operations independently. The investment, which was led by Jerusalem Venture Partners and joined by Aviv Ventures, will enable the company to broaden its platform from its new offices in Jerusalem’s JVP Media Quarter. more
