Audinate and Digital Audio Labs Enter Licensing Agreement

Portland OR.-Nov 18, 2013- Digital Audio Labs has entered into a license agreement with Audinate to license its Dante™ media networking solution. The first Digital Audio Labs product to integrate Dante will be the Livemix personal monitoring system, slated to launch January 14th, 2014. Audinate Offers Free Online Networking Courses for CTS RU Credits

Portland OR-November 8, 2013-Audinate, the inventors of the digital media networking solution Dante™, is offering a series of specialized networking courses on-line that can be used for RU credits toward a CTS certification. Presently, two courses are now available which include “The Principles of Digital Audio” and “Introduction to IP Networking for AV Systems”.

The first new course, “The Principles of Digital Audio” covers the encoding and representation of audio in digital formats, how audio is communicated and manipulated in the digital domain and introduces the features and benefits of digital audio networking. Each person taking the course will receive 3.0 CTS RU credits in CTS Domain A.

The second new course, “Introduction to IP Networking for AV Systems” provides a high level informative discussion on the adoption of IP networking and then introduces the OSI model and how data travels through network layers and hardware. It concludes with a more focused look at how Dante implements networking standards in the context of transporting media. This course has been approved for 3.0 CTS RU credits in CTS Domain A and 3.0 CTS-D RU credits in CTS-D Domain B.

Four Audio to Launch New Dante™ Products at PL&S

Portland, OR-April 3, 2013- Audinate the inventor of Dante, the award winning digital media networking solution, and OEM partner Four Audio, developers of high-end loudspeaker measurement and management solutions for professional audio, today announced the launch of two new products at PL&S.

The first is a new product called the DBS1, a 2 channel breakout box built on Audinate’s new Dante Ultimo™ solution. It’s metal housing is smaller than a 9.5″ and features 2 balanced symmetrical analog inputs with programmable sensitivity (-46 to +14 dBu), switchable 48V phantom power, a low cut filter and has 118 dB dynamic range. The 2 balanced analog outputs deliver 14 dBu maximum output.

“The DBS1 is ideally suited for providing a small, inexpensive audio connection anywhere without much infrastructure,” says Rainer Thaden, Four Audio’s Managing Director. Thaden adds, “We put a lot of attention on high audio quality to make it usable in PA systems. The DBS1 is also an ideal external 2 channel soundcard for PCs or notebooks.” For OEM / high volume customers, Four Audio offers designs tailored to their needs to eliminate unnecessary costs.

Dante is built on IT standards, and is a complete media networking solution. Dante delivers a low-latency, tightly synchronized, sample-accurate playback, while simplifying installation and configuration of AV networks. Ultimo is Audinate’s cost-effective solution to networking low channel networked devices.

Four Audio will also be making available two new configurations to their successful DBO1 breakout box. The DBO1 is a Dante enabled breakout box providing 8 analog output channels and optional 4 AES outputs. The new configuration will offer 4 balanced symmetrical analog inputs from -46 to +14 dBu and either 48V phantom power or ICP constant current supply.

The DBO1 with ICP supply is ideally suited for industrial measurement applications with many widely distributed sensors. It enables to connect measurement microphones, piezo transducers, accelerometers, to a sensor network over Ethernet, allowing remote measurements over large distances with no trouble.
