THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE ACADEMY BAND PERFORMS WITH SENNHEISER WIRELESS

stan_sakumoto.JPGPETERSON AFB, COLORADO – APRIL 2009: The United States Air Force (USAF) Academy Band is comprised of eleven performing ensembles that maintain a rigorous touring schedule at their home base in Colorado, throughout the nation, and abroad in support of the Air Force’s recruitment, reputation, and morale. The 45-member Concert Band being the flagship ensemble of the unit makes regular appearances on small and large stages, in front of military and civilian audiences, and in live venues and television studios. As a formal recognition of the band’s decades of entertainment and education, it earned the coveted “Colonel George S. Howard Citation of Musical Excellence for Military Concert Bands” from the John Philip Sousa Foundation in January 2009. more

Endorsed artists Sugarland, Jake Owen and the Zac Brown Band all took home top prizes. Sennheiser wireless and wired microphones were favored by artists such as Miley Cyrus, Blake Shelton and Reba McEntire – who also hosted the show – as well as presenters, including magician David Copperfield and U.S.M.C. DANLEY SUBWOOFERS HANDLE THE LOW-END FOR WILLOW CREEK CHURCH

willowcreek_2.JPGSOUTH BARRINGTON, ILLINOIS – APRIL 2009: Willow Creek Community Church is one of the most famous mega-churches in the world and regularly draws over 22,000 attendees to its suburban-Chicago location every weekend. Its truly awe-inspiring auditorium boasts over 7,200 seats, which technically makes it the largest theater in the world. Thanks to state-of-the-art sound, LED display, and projection systems, not one of those seats could be fairly described as “bad,” a fact that makes Willow Creek’s services so engaging. Nevertheless, the sheer volume of the space thwarted every attempt to deliver bass response that was commensurate with the rest of the system, brought ultimately to a happy resolution with the purchase of six Danley TH-115 subwoofers. more

KLEIN + HUMMEL LOUDSPEAKERS ARE THE INVISIBLE ART FORM

sound_exhibit.JPGMIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA – MARCH 2009: Throughout the month of March, the Gertrude Silverstone Muss Gallery at the Bass Museum of Art in Miami Beach was home to a unique art exhibition aptly titled “SOUND.” The exhibition celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Subtropics Festival, an annual showcase of sound art sponsored by the local collective interdisciplinary Sound Art Workshop (iSAW). SOUND was curated by iSAW’s artistic director, Gustavo Matamoros, in association with composer David Dunn. The selected works explored the full range of sound art, including sculptural works, installations, performances, and interactive art. Matamoros relied on the flat frequency response and stunning fidelity of twelve Klein + Hummel P 110 high-end reference monitors to realize all of those pieces that required external loudspeakers. more
