Face Audio Titanium Series Amps At Loyola Marymount

Los Angeles, CA––Loyola Marymount University recently completed a fully outfitted athletic center with four locker rooms, an upstairs conference center with two adjoining mini conference centers, and a full weight and workout room.
Simon Productions of Winnetka, California was chosen to install the sophisticated AV system for the facility. Owner Terry Stewart explains that he and his team were tasked to “create smart rooms in the conference area with LCD screens, complete audio systems and individual zone control for the conference centers.
“We also did the hallway sections throughout the facility as stand-alone zones with the capability to play independent sources throughout the building,? Terry adds. “Each of the locker rooms has their own independent sound systems with TV screens and plug-and-play systems for power point presentations.?
The project required extensive amplification, another challenge for Stewart and his team. As Terry points out, “We needed both 2-and 4-channel amplifiers more

Chestnut Hill, PA––Built on a tract of land purchased in 1856, the elegant and venerable St. Paul’s Episcopal church was built in 1929 on the foundation of the second building.

The ceiling of St. Paul’s is built like a ship, symbolic of the Ark and the boat of the fishermen but not the ideal setting for audio reproduction. The Rev. Cliff Cutler retained Spinnaker-Multimedia Solutions to study the room acoustics and design a compatible audio system. The original systems consisted of massive stadium speakers with overhead microphones for speech and choir reproduction.

“We were retained to correct poor sound distribution and speech intelligibility problems. Parishioners seated in the rear couldn’t understand the spoken word or the choir very well,? says Fenicia Redman, VP Project Development at Spinnaker.

“So we did what we always do,? relates Redman, “modeled the space. There was no way we were going to more

Martin Audio Mini Array For Bury St Edmunds Apex Development

Apex multi-purpose venue, Bury St Edmunds, England

The new £18.5m apex multi-purpose venue in Bury St Edmunds, owned and operated by St Edmundsbury Borough Council, is now equipped with a Martin Audio W8LM Mini Line Array system as part of its permanent technical infrastructure.

After the installation was completed last year by Northern Light, technical manager Tim Carr noticed that with an increasing number of amplified rock and folk concerts starting to appear on the upcoming program of events, a conventional Left/Right proscenium line array hang was required to bolster the existing speech system.

Several sound systems were proposed as potential solutions, but Carr already had prior experience with Martin Audio’s W8LM Mini Line Array, brought in by locally based W1 Productions when they were sponsoring a local band night. Which explains why Tim was soon talking to W1’s Stuart Turvill about a permanent install.
