THAT Corporation Partners with Earthworks Audio for its dbx-tv Branded Total Cal Audio Microphones

Milford, Mass. – THAT Corporation, a leading provider of high-quality audio technologies, today announced that it has partnered with Earthworks® Audio to create a customized dbx-tv omnidirectional measurement microphone for its new dbx-tv® Total Cal audio calibration tool – a PC-based acoustic measurement and configuration system that simplifies and shortens the time required to configure a TV’s audio system.

Each Total Cal system utilizes a minimum of three state-of-the-art dbx-tv / Earthworks microphones to capture the sonic fingerprint of the TV audio system being measured through the built-in speakers. By comparing these sonic profiles to a series of preconfigured test tones, Total Cal is able to assess the performance of the TV’s existing hardware and automatically adjust its audio system to meet the setmaker’s sonic objectives. Get Ready for AVB: AVnu Alliance Fuels A/V Interoperability with its Largest Demonstration & Training Program at InfoComm 2012

Beaverton, Ore. – May 14, 2012 – At InfoComm 2012, the AVnu Alliance will bring the most extensive AVB (Audio/Video Bridging) technology showcase and education offerings to date. Live demonstrations of AVB-enabled devices will show A/V networking simplicity as systems from 15 pro A/V equipment manufacturers and platform providers interoperate at the AVnu Alliance Pavilion. A comprehensive AVB education program lineup will illustrate how AVB is revolutionizing A/V networking for manufacturers, integrators, consultants, and other A/V professionals.

The key mission of the AVnu Alliance is interoperability that is afforded to its members through the certification program. At the AVnu Alliance Pavilion, InfoComm attendees are invited to experience the most comprehensive multi-vendor AVB demonstration. The certification program was announced in March with official testing to begin in August.

AVnu Alliance Teams with UNH-IOL to Certify AVB Products and Unveils AVnu Certification Timeline

Beaverton, OR, March 7, 2012 – AVnu Alliance has named the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL), an independent networking and data communications testing provider, as the first test house for the AVnu Alliance certification program of AVB devices. This agreement is a significant step forward in advancing the IEEE 802.1 AVB standards and bringing certified AVB networking products to the market.

AVnu Alliance has also announced the timeline for the AVnu certification program. Starting August 2012, alliance members can submit AVB-enabled bridges to UNH-IOL to begin certification testing. For professional audio products, the testing process will begin in Q1 of 2013. Products by alliance members Avid, Biamp, Extreme Networks, Harman, Meyer Sound, Riedel Communications, and others are expected to be in the first wave of devices submitted for full AVnu interoperability certification.

The UNH-IOL is a neutral, third-party testing service provider that works with other industry consortia including the Ethernet Alliance, Wi-Fi Alliance and IPv6 Forum.

ViewCast Helps PrepSpin Broadcast High School Sports to Worldwide Audience
