Montreal, Canada⎯Le Studio Mobile recently spent six weeks in Vancouver providing 5.1 audio mixes for broadcast coverage of the Opening, Closing, and Medal Ceremonies of the 2010 Olympic games as well as mixes of nightly musical entertainment.

Le Studio Mobile used its complete arsenal of professional audio equipment including dual Yamaha DM2000v2 digital consoles, handling all inputs from BC Place for music, vocals, announcements and speeches. John Simpson, of Sydney, Australia was the mix engineer assisted by Brian Power of Halifax, Nova Scotia. All elements were recorded on four 48-tracks recorders. more

The seminars will offer product and technical training to church technicians and musicians seeking the finest in-depth technology training available in the areas of audio, musicianship, lighting, recording, and media presentation. Summit sponsor experts along with leading worship musicians will be on hand for the in-depth three-day tracks that include Audio, Musician, Lighting, Media, and Vocal. BUENA PARK, Calif.⎯Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. has announced the availability of Version 3.01 software for the M7CL digital audio console. The software will support all M7CL models including the recently launched M7CL-48ES. The new software can be downloaded free of charge at www.m7clv.3.com.

Major additions to M7CLv3.01 software include a Channel Select/Sends On Fader option as well as the addition of a Conversion button to the System Setup dialog box. The Channel Select/Sends On Fader will specify whether the channel selection and Sends On Fader operation are linked between the M7CL and the Editor. The colors of the faders will turn gray when the input channels are OFF to show the status of Input the channels. more

BUENA PARK, Calif.⎯Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. has announced a new addition to the M7CL digital console product line. The M7CL-48ES, available in the spring of 2010, with its main I/O interface being the SB168-ES remote stage box, connects via a single Cat5 cable. The new console includes a built-in EtherSound interface with a third port for PC control and monitoring, eight Omni Ins (Mic/Line), eight Omni Outs, and three MY card slots. The M7CL-48ES supports up to three SB168-ES stage boxes and, like the M7CL-48, can mix up to 48 mono plus 4 stereo inputs to 16 Mix Buses, 8 Matrix Outs, Stereo and Mono Outputs. The new Stage Box Quick Set up feature provides plug-and-play connection of up to three SB168-ES units. more
