(Cleveland, Oh.) recently purchased a NEXO GEO T line array, Yamaha PM5D-RH digital console and 16 Yamaha T5n amplifiers to service their corporate and concert production clients. “The new NEXO GEO T system enhances our company’s full production services. ─YAMAHA SB168-ES TO COMPLEMENT NETWORK AUDIO SOLUTIONS─

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.─Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. will add to its already extensive line of digital audio network solutions for the installation and tour sound markets with the U.S. preview of the SB168-ES Stage Box during the AES Show. The new digital Stage Box will be located in the company’s demo room, #120, and will be used as part of two training classes offered throughout the show. The classes will be 60-90 minutes in length and will cover Digital Networks for Sound Reinforcement and an Advanced Class on the Yamaha PM5D-EX console. BUENA PARK, Calif.─ For one of their largest annual fundraising events, the San Diego Zoo tapped Special Event Audio Services of Oceanside, California to handle audio production. There were special concerns about the volume level coming out of the world renowned Zoo special events area since the famous Old Globe Theatre is just a few hundred yards away. For this event in prior years, the previous production company actually went to the trouble of installing a small speaker under every table. more

BUENA PARK, Calif.─ Headliner Judas Priest and Heaven and Hell embarked on tour together as part of the top metal concert attraction this summer, the Metal Masters Tour, which also included performances by Motorhead and Testament to delight of the metalheads everywhere.

The tour, produced by Live Nation, was Priest’s first set of U.S. dates in nearly three years, and kicked off the release of the band’s new CD, ‘Nostradamus.’ The fifteen ‘special engagements’ began in Camden, NJ and ended in Las Vegas Nevada with a tour stop that also included Toronto, Ontario. more
