Helsingborg, Sweden/Stroud, UK – Milab Microphones is proud to announce a collaboration with Rycote, the British manufacturer of industry-standard microphone windshields and suspensions. The first fruit of this closer working relationship is a custom version of the Rycote InVision USM (Universal Studio Mount) suspension for the Milab SRND 360 surround microphone, and further Milab-specific Rycote products are currently at the design stage.

To fit the large 60mm barrel of the Milab SRND 360, Rycote designed a modified version of the USM — the standard version accommodates any large-diaphragm microphone from 18 to 55mm in diameter.

The latest addition to the Milab product family is the DC-96C, a side-addressed large membrane microphone designed mainly for studio work, but also for many live applications. The DC-96C is the latest version of the classic DC-96 series – originally released in 1967 – and has been updated with the latest technology. It shares most of its components, including the capsule, with the DC-196, but like previous DC-96 versions, it is cardioid only and has a single layer mesh grid. more

The BDM-01 is a brand new bass drum microphone equally at home in the studio and on the road. The condenser capsule is hand built by Milab in Sweden and provides superb attack and high-frequency response, especially when compared to dynamic capsules, which can be found in most bass drum microphones.
