Triad Speakers, Inc. Unveils New Speaker for Dolby Atmos Sound

Bronze LR-H model to deliver award-winning Dolby Atmos multi-dimensional sound

Portland, OR — August 27, 2014 — Custom made-in-the-USA manufacturer Triad Speakers, Inc.
today announced a new home theater speaker developed to deliver captivating, multi-dimensional sound with Dolby Atmos. Triad’s Bronze LR-H is an in-room loudspeaker that utilizes a traditional D’Appolito design (2 front-firing drivers with a tweeter located in between). Integrated into the enclosure is a Dolby-enabled height channel comprised of an up-firing top driver array that aims sound towards the ceiling. In the Dolby Atmos system, the Bronze LR-H is used for left and right front and rear main channels (one enclosure per channel).

With Dolby Atmos®, sound comes alive from all directions, including overhead, to fill the home theater with astonishing clarity, power, detail, and depth.

Triad will display the Bronze LR-H at its CEDIA Expo 2014 booth (#448). The Dolby booth (#180) will include two live presentations of Triad speakers, one using four InRoom Bronze LR-H (built-in Dolby enabled upward firing speakers), and another using four Triad InCeiling Bronze/8 LCRs for the overhead sound.

“Triad has been developing and experimenting with a wide range of solutions including in-room, in-wall, on-wall and in-ceiling designs,” says Pexton. “Somewhat to our surprise, in testing our speakers we have found that the built-in height channel — which reflects off the ceiling — performs better in some applications than using dedicated ceiling speakers for the height channel.”

“At the CEDIA Expo, listeners will be able to form their own judgment of which system they prefer. Either way I am very confident they will leave very impressed with capabilities and added sonic dimensions of the Dolby Atmos systems presented,” furthered Pexton.

Built upon the performance merits of the popular InWall Bronze/4 SlimSub, the new models create a Bronze SlimSub Series that consists of 3 models in total. Each Bronze SlimSub is paired with Triad’s 350-watt outboard amplifier (RackAmp 350 DSP) at an MSRP of $1,500 per package.

InRoom Bronze SlimSub
“Taking up little to no floor space, the InRoom Bronze SlimSub is really 2 subs in one!” exclaims Triad Speakers Marketing Director Paul Teixeira. “Standing upright, this compact powerhouse looks smart, and at just 4.3-inches deep, it takes up almost no floor space. When laid down (requiring just 5.1-inches of height clearance) it becomes a down-firing subwoofer that can be hidden under furniture. Visible or hidden, you get the same great bass.”

OnWall Bronze SlimSub
The OnWall Bronze SlimSub is Triad’s first on-wall subwoofer solution. Measuring merely 4.4-inches from the wall and available in custom colors, the OnWall Bronze SlimSub is a perfect solution for many ultra-flat TVs using soundbars. “And, by way of Triad’s EZ Mount Brackets, the subwoofer is quick-and-easy to mount on any wall,” adds Teixeira.

Each of the Triad SlimSubs utilizes a proprietary long-throw 10-inch aluminum driver.
