The company’s mobile app mirrors the portal, making the system readily available on the go. For example, the homeowner can monitor energy usage, adjust thermostats and view video from the app, even opting to select and view multiple locations.

For even greater home control, the system incorporates Geo-Fencing, a technology that makes it possible for the homeowner to define rules or to adjust settings when people leave or approach the home (for example automatically adjusting HD-viewing or temperature, etc.). The technology uses GPS in the homeowner’s smartphone to trigger the settings.

The enerG system is scalable and affordable. The pre-packaged systems are as follows:

Software

The integrator receives a commission from enerG each month the system is active.

ICE Cable’s “Big Mouth Payout” Bulk Cable Box Saves Integrators Time and Money

Proprietary cable-wind, massive pay-out hole and heavily reinforced box eliminates headaches caused by common “fall-apart” boxes and tangled cable messes

BMP incorporates four distinct design advantages that help the integrator run more efficiently on the jobsite.

4-inch payout hole and proprietary winding pattern
The BMP box combines a 4-inch payout hole with a proprietary cable-winding pattern. According to ICE president Brian Rizzo, the payout is more than twenty times larger than what’s currently available on the market today. “Our payout and wind pattern help eliminate everyday pull-problems like kinking, knotting, recoil and tangling. Removing these obstacles makes a one-man wire pull — for example from atop a ladder — significantly easier,” says Rizzo.

Ascending and descending foot-markers
Incorporated on the cable jackets are ascending and descending foot-markers which make it effortless for the integrator to identify how much cable has been used and how much remains. The result is optimal usage of the entire wind and the elimination of scrap; it also solves the common problem of tracking usage which according to Rizzo can often be difficult when more than one technician pulls from the same box.

Ultra-durable, weather resistant cardboard box with reinforced handles
To withstand abuse on the jobsite, the BMP box is comprised of an extremely durable water resistant cardboard along with dual-layer reinforced handles. According to Rizzo the cardboard is burst-tested to withstand 21 kilograms of force which far surpasses what is currently available in the channel today.

Joint national program opens doors for integrators to tap vertical markets by deploying

Las Vegas-based 2013 COLAB Lecture Series Proves Valuable Networking Event for Integrators

Las Vegas, NV – April 23, 2013 – Independent manufacturer’s sales representative firm Innovative Consulting and Marketing and its distribution arm Audio Video Warehouse (a member of the Catalyst AV distribution network) serve Arizona and Nevada. The companies – led by principal Paul Brown — have been co-sponsors of the 2013 COLAB Spring Lecture Series.

Spanning March through May, the Series is comprised of 7 lectures by leading California, Nevada and Utah architects that specialize in residential, commercial and public projects. The lectures have been given at three Las Vegas locations: The Art Square Theater, the Amanda Harris Gallery and Las Vegas Design Center at World Market Center.

The focus of the Series is to give attendees a chance to learn about special approaches used on the various design projects, as well as provide an opportunity for all to mingle, make new contacts and share ideas.

As reported by Brown, the events thus far have yielded a turnout of 25-35 attendees comprised mostly of technology integrators, interior designers and students from the University of Las Vegas.

One of those in attendance was Michael Molina of local integration firm Smart Home Theater who said, “Having Innovative Consulting / Audio Video Warehouse involved in sponsoring events like this allows us to meet architects and designers that we have not been able to approach in the past. This has proven very worthwhile for us.”

At present there are two remaining lectures, both of which take place at the Amanda Harris Gallery located at 900 South Las Vegas Blvd, # 150:

April 29th, 6 PM – Architect Anne Mooney of Salt Lake City-based Architectural firm Sparano and Mooney.

May 6th, 6 PM – David Baker of San Francisco-based David Baker Architects, a firm specialized in affordable-housing projects.
