Queens, NY – January 2012… Housed on the grounds of New York’s famed Aqueduct Racetrack, New York City’s first casino—the Resorts World Casino New York City—opened its doors on October 28th. Attracting tourists from the entire Northeast, the ‘racino’ (as it’s been dubbed by locals) houses some 5,000 video gambling terminals and electronic table games, including craps and a popular Asian dice game known as sic bo. Additionally, there are 18 food and beverage courts, two restaurants, four VIP lounges, and a bar. The bar—officially known as Bar 360—is the place to see and be seen and the room’s valuable electronics are protected by none other than Tour 8 Series cases from Council Bluffs, IA-based Grundorf Corporation.
Rockledge, FL-based The Integration Factory, a design / build firm that specializes in A/V, control, access control, and surveillance systems, was contracted to handle the design and deployment of the seemingly countless electronics that make Bar 360 the hotspot that it is. Carlos Gonzalez, The Integration Factory’s Senior Manager for Business Development, discussed the project and the factors that led to the deployment of a Grundorf Tour 8 Series Drawer Case and four of the company’s Shock Rack cases. more
