Lenoir NC – October 2012 … Recognizing that audio and video capabilities are well-entrenched in contemporary worship services, First Baptist Church of Lenoir decided the time had come to upgrade their sanctuary’s A/V facilities. While services are presently traditional in nature, church management wanted the new A/V system to have the versatility to handle a wide range of services and, for that matter, the occasional music program. Their previous sound reinforcement system suffered from poor speech intelligibility, phasing issues, and inconsistent dispersion. Determined to correct the situation, the church ultimately deployed a new sound system drawn from the catalog of Greensboro, NC-based WorxAudio Technologies. more

LECTROSONICS SELECTS WOOLLEY FOR SALES REPRESENTATION

Most recently, he served as Senior Engineer for the LDS (Latter-Day Saints) Church Media Services Department. In this capacity, his responsibilities were to manage and lead the conference room design team, overseeing the design of sound and audiovisual systems for conference rooms, theaters, museums, and other spaces. Prior to this, Woolley was Director of Product Management at Salt Lake City, UT-based ClearOne Communications, where he was responsible for the company’s global marketing efforts for the ClearOne professional and NetStreams networking product lines. Additionally, Woolley held the position of Consulting Engineer – Technology Systems for Spectrum Engineers of Salt Lake City, UT as well as Sales Manager for General Communications, Inc. of Draper, UT. more

D.A.S. AUDIO DEPLOYED AT METRO SOUTH CHURCH IN DETROIT AREA

Taylor, Michigan – August 2012 … As a non-denominational independent Christian church located in the southern suburbs of greater Detroit, Metro South Church is a vibrant, growing organization that caters to more than 1,500 people during their four Weekend Experiences. Recognizing the importance of delivering their message in a clear and appealing manner, church management recently elected to install a robust sound reinforcement system. After careful evaluation, the decision was made to deploy a new loudspeaker setup drawn from the Aero Series 2 catalog of Valencia, Spain-based D.A.S. Audio.

GC Pro, the outside sales division of Guitar Center that focuses on the requirements of professional users, was contracted to design and install Metro South Church’s new sound system. GC Pro Account Manager Paul Johnson, working in conjunction with Guitar Center Sales Associate Paul Long and D.A.S. Audio Regional Sales Manager Steve Trimble, oversaw the project. Ultimately, the new sound system included a sizeable contingent of D.A.S. Aero 12A powered two-way, mid-high line array modules along with LX-215A and LX-218CA sub bass enclosures. more

D.A.S. AUDIO DEPLOYED AT STJARNAN F.C. HOME STADIUM

Garðabær, Iceland – August 2012 … Located in what many people know as Gardentown, Stjarnan F.C. is an Icelandic football (soccer) club that is part of the KSI Premiere League. For their home games, the stadium had previously used various portable PA systems for announcements. This situation resulted in inconsistent sound quality, creating a most frustrating experience for both the announcers and the fans alike. Recognizing the need for a better solution, stadium management recently elected to deploy a more permanent solution—one that was drawn from the catalog of Valencia, Spain-based D.A.S. Audio.

Garðabær based Northern Lights Audio, a design/build firm specializing in audio, video, lighting, security, and heating solutions for both the professional and residential markets, was contracted to design and install the stadium’s new sound reinforcement system. Þorsteinn Halldórsson, the firm’s owner discussed the project and his reasons for installing the D.A.S. Audio equipment. more
