SILVERTON HIGH SCHOOL PROTECTS STUDENTS WITH JVC SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS, NVRS

WAYNE, NJ – For its first 12 years of occupancy, Silverton High School only had about 300 freshman on campus. Part of the Silver Falls School District in Silverton, Ore., the school was designed to be constructed in two phases. When a community bond was passed and the second phase was completed in 2009 – and the student population grew to 1,200 students – the administration installed dozens of JVC V.Networks VN-C215E4U indoor network dome and VN-C215VP4U vandal-proof outdoor dome cameras, which are monitored through JVC VR-N1600U network video recorders (NVRs).

Norfolk State University Installs Three Hitachi HD Cameras in its Studio for Student-Produced Programming

WOODBURY, NEW YORK– Norfolk State University (NSU), in Norfolk, VA, installed three new Hitachi SK-HD1000 digital high definition cameras in its television studio, which provides hands-on training to students enrolled in the school’s Mass Communication program. The studio, which is part of NSU’s School of Liberal Arts, enables students to satisfy media lab requirements and produce their own videos as they work toward a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication.

SAS Installs Broadcast Pix Granite Systems for New Conference Center

Billerica, Massachusetts – Broadcast Pix™ announced today that SAS, a leading independent vendor in business analytics software and services, is expanding its use of Granite™ video production systems on its 140-acre main campus in Cary, N.C. With one Granite already in service, four additional systems were installed in a new conference center that opened in April.
