FUJINON LENSES DRIVE THE ALL MOBILE VIDEO 3D TRUCK

WAYNE, N.J. – All Mobile Video (AMV) recently furnished its Epic 3D mobile production unit with lenses from FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Optical Devices Division for use on Sony HDC1500 Series cameras and Sony HDC-P1 cameras on 3ality Digital 3D stereoscopic rigs. The Epic 3D features six Fujinon HA23x7.6BERM HD Premier Series ENG-Style telephoto lenses and 12 Fujinon HAs18x7.6BRM Premier Series HD ENG-Style telephoto lenses. Each 3D rig on the truck includes two lenses for stereoscopic 3D production. There are six 3ality Digital 3flex 3D camera rigs on the Epic 3D truck – four TS-2 Studio Beamsplitter rigs and two TS-4 Side-by-Side rigs.

SUNY Fredonia Student Station WNYF Installs Broadcast Pix Granite 1000 for Transition to HD Production, File-Based Workflow

Billerica, Massachusetts – For more than 30 years, independent student television station WNYF has been one of the staples on the campus of SUNY Fredonia, which is part of the State University of New York. The station recently installed a Broadcast Pix™ Granite™ 1000 video production system, which has helped usher in a new era of high definition production and file-based workflow.

According to T. John McCune, multimedia team leader, SUNY Fredonia, the Granite 1000, which was purchased through Audio Video Corporation to replace a Panasonic AG-MX70 switcher, was installed last August in time for the fall semester. McCune said the students are still excited about the new system, because it is easy to use and has improved the quality of productions.

FUJINON LENSES USED BY RENOWNED DP DANA CHRISTIAANSEN ON JEEP, SUZUKI COMMERCIALS

WAYNE, N.J. – Respected for his work on high-profile automotive commercials, director of photography Dana Christiaansen recently shot commercials for both Jeep and Suzuki with Fujinon Premier PL Zoom Lenses rented from Otto Nemenz International in Los Angeles.

Christiaansen’s work is held in high regard in the world of commercial cinematography. He’s known for capturing delicate detail on the rugged terrain of challenging car and truck shoots. The Suzuki material was shot for Siltanen and Partners Advertising using the Fujinon PL mount 14.5-45mm T2.0, 18-85mm T.20, and the 75-400mm T2.8-T3.8 zoom lenses on an Arri Alexa digital camera. BONFIRE LABS RELIES ON ADVANCED SYSTEMS GROUP FOR SAN UPGRADE

EMERYVILLE, CALIF. – Bonfire Labs, a motion design agency and production studio in San Francisco, conducted a major upgrade of its infrastructure last summer. Most of the project was completed in house, but when it came time to upgrade software on its Quantum StorNext storage area network (SAN), Bonfire Labs turned to Advanced Systems Group (ASG), a leading West Coast video and film integration firm.

With a staff of 20 people supplemented by a team of freelancers, Bonfire’s creative team relies on Mac Pro workstations equipped with Adobe Creative Suite 5, Apple Final Cut Pro, Autodesk Maya, The Foundry’s NUKE, and MAXON CINEMA 4D. TNDV to Outfit Newest HD Truck with 10 Hitachi Z-HD5000 Cameras

WOODBURY, NEW YORK – TNDV Television, a Nashville, TN-based provider of HD/SD video systems and services for remote video production, announced plans to outfit its newest HD truck with 10 Hitachi Z-HD5000 multiformat (720p/1080i) HDTV cameras along with Hitachi CU-HD1000 fiber-based camera control units (CCUs).
