HOLLY HILL, Fla. – Metra Home Theater Group, a leading provider for electronic accessories for over 65 years, will introduce a new RGB LED Light Kit at CES 2013, held January 8-11 in Las Vegas.

The Audio Solutions RGB LED Light Kit (model AS_RGB5MK) is a five-meter (16.4’) strip of durable, LED lighting designed to provide reliable, easy-to-install accent lighting in any application.

The LED strip can be easily cut into 4-inch sections to allow for precise application into any setting.

The new Audio Solutions products from Metra Home Theater Group will include a new IR Kit, two new Component Shelves, In-Line Surge Protector for HDMI products, a Universal Learning Remote and an Accessory Lockbox Shelf.

Metra Home Theater Group’s Audio Solutions DVDSHELF1 and DVDSHELF2 Component Shelves easily mount to a wall to allow users to place AV components into any setting without clutter. The shelves are built to provide years of dependable service and eliminate the need for bulky furniture. The DVDSHELF1 features a single glass shelf while the DVDSHELF2 is made up of dual glass shelving. Each model features an integrated cable management system, sits at 17.5” wide by 11” high and can hold up to 22lbs per shelf.

The new Audio Solutions AS-HDMSP is our unique in-line surge protector specifically designed for use with HDMI products. The surge protector’s design was determined by carefully evaluating all of the necessary attributes for a dynamic and robust interface for HDMI-capable components. Built to protect the home’s valuable electronics systems, the unit will withstand up to and including 8kV of voltage surge. The surge protector is active on all balanced line TMDS channels, including the clock channel. It also supports full 1080p 3D, providing protection on both the input and output stages for products.

The Audio Solutions Accessory Lockbox (Model: AS-RC3260LB) is the perfect solution for storing valuables such as tablets, notebooks and media players on the Audio Solutions AS-RC3260. The unit supports up to 30lbs of materials and includes a lock and key set.

Equipped with AudioControl’s unique patent-pending AccuBASS™ circuitry, the Rialto 400 rejuvenates the bass response lost in most digital compression schemes and brings it back to the signal path. This results in a richer and fuller audio performance with better bass and mid-bass response often missing in today’s compressed music. The net effect is that the audience will enjoy a more complete listening experience and hear music much closer to the way the artist intended.

The Rialto 400 has an array of digital and analog inputs, including PCM to connect with digital audio outputs from televisions and a 12V trigger for use with control and automation systems. Toslink, coaxial, line level RCA, 1/8″ audio and speaker level inputs for interfacing with source units without line level are included in the specification. This plethora of inputs eliminates the need for additional expensive outboard components thus making it the most flexible product of its kind.

In order to keep these inputs systemized, the Rialto 400 utilizes AudioControl’s SMART Signal Sensing, which allows the user to prioritize which input to use based on personal preference. When the system is turned on, it is configured to automatically search for the preferred active signal and decipher the appropriate processor needed in communication with one of the system’s digital or analog inputs. For example, if a homeowner decides to switch from using a separate distributed audio system within the home to his or her integrated Sonos® Connect set-up, the Rialto 400 will instantly recognize the change and immediately switch to using the connected digital audio input used by the Sonos®.

The Rialto 400 also features an integrated headphone jack to allow it to be used in other applications such as gaming systems or with personal audio products such as headphones and iDevices.

The Rialto 400 will be available through AudioControl authorized dealers and will begin shipping in February 2013. The product is designed, engineered and manufactured in the United States and is backed by a 5-year warranty. The suggested client price for the Rialto 400 is $799 and allows custom audio installers to maximize the audio performance of their clients installations by “making good sound great”.

Written in a plain, easy-to-read manner, the new series provides readers with an in-depth understanding of the HDMI system through a simple, conversational style. It features about 100 full-color illustrations in the first book and covers a broad array of topics to aid everyone from engineers, to integrators and consumers.

The series begins with Inside HDMI, a comprehensive look at the basics of HDMI and the common problems that plague it. Future books in the planned series are titled Extending the HDMI Platform and Troubleshooting HDMI, which cover practical applications of HDMI in real world installations and a guide to system troubleshooting, respectively.

Co-author Jeff Boccaccio is considered an authority on emerging technologies in the audio/video industry. An accomplished communicator, he has been invited to present seminars on sophisticated topics such as radio frequency technology, high definition television, HDMI and emerging technologies at a variety of Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) shows, CEDIA Regional Shows, and CEDIA EXPOs. He has also been the keynote speaker at a multitude of shows and events sponsored by specialty audio/video retailers, distribution companies, and manufacturers.

Also bringing his vast knowledge of HDMI to the book is co-author and veteran integrator Derek R. Flickinger from Interactive Homes, Inc. in Drexel Hill, Penn. Flickinger’s skills and experience with the home integration industry and HDMI technology have contributed greatly to the book, ensuring that it accurately covers information for readers of varied backgrounds.

Metra Home Theater Group will hold a special book-signing event featuring Boccaccio and Flickinger at CEDIA EXPO 2012. The signing will take place at Booth #1741 from 5-6 p.m. on Thursday, September 6.
