DK-Technologies Helps Dramatico Stays Within Legal Loundness Limits

DK-Technologies has supplied Dramatico Entertainment Ltd, the UK record label set up in the early Naughties by singer/songwriter/producer/arranger Mike Batt, with an MSD100C loudness meter, which it is using to ensure that all its television advertising and promotional campaigns fall within the legal limits for loudness consistency.

DK-Technologies’ range of audio metering products are all complaint with the latest loudness recommendations, including ITU 1770-2, EBU R128 and ATSC A85. The company’s latest product, the DK Meter, is a Compact Audio Loudness Meter (CALM) that is no bigger than a smart phone and is designed to meet increasing demands from the market for cost-effective stereo and 5.1 metering, including loudness. Shown in prototype at NAB 2011, this groundbreaking instrument will start shipping in August with a price tag of just $1295.00 in the US and €995.00 in Europe.

Prism Sound Makes Audio Loudness A Priority At IBC 2011

South African commercial radio station OFM entertains its audience with a mixture of adult contemporary music, news, weather, traffic and other relevant information. Broadcasting 24 hours a day from its studios in Bloemfontein in the Free State Province, OFM is a lifestyle radio station that likes to connect with its audience through plenty of telephone interaction.

NDR Employs Jünger Audio’s NEW T*AP Processor During the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest

Jünger Audio’s T*AP Television Audio Processor played a key part in helping German public broadcaster NDR deliver stunning audio from the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest.

More than 100 million people worldwide tuned in to watch the contest, which took place in the Arena in Düsseldorf and was won by Azerbaijan contestants Nigar Jamal and Eldat Gasimov. Traditionally, the national public broadcaster of the country hosting the competition is responsible for the broadcast. This year the task fell to NDR, which handled the production in close cooperation with the EBU and over 40 participating Member Broadcasters from across Europe.
