In recent months the company has completed a major overhaul of its audio facilities to bring them up to the latest technical specifications. As part of this process, Producers has installed two Fairlight Constellation XCS consoles, featuring a Xynergi centre panel and running on Fairlight’s latest Crystal Core (CC-1) engine.

“Before choosing Constellation XCS, we thoroughly investigated every major integrated professional audio product on the market,? says Producers Senior Audio Engineer Bob Bragg. “In the end the Constellation consoles won out because there were no other products on the market that offered such an extensive range of features at such a cost-effective price point.?

DK-Technologies Helps UK Broadcaster Industry Meet BCAP’s Loudness Guidelines

C4, RedBee and Grand Central Studios are among a growing number of broadcast and post production facilities that are choosing DK-Technologies’ Loudness software to evaluate audio levels on commercials and idents in line with the latest recommendations from the Broadcast Committee on Advertising Standards (BCAP).

BCAP’s guidelines, which were published last year, advise broadcasters to look at the audio levels on commercials and idents following audience complaraja-sehgal-of-grand-central-with-dk-loudness-metering-compressed.jpgints that they are often too loud. BCAP recommends the use of loudness meters that incorporate International Telecommunications Union (ITU) specified algorithms BS.1770 and BS.1771 to measure loudness – something that traditional PPM and VU meters are incapable of doing.

At a recent briefing held at Grand Central Studios in London, 30 members of the UK Screen Association heard how C4, its sister channels and channels such as Dave, Bravo, Living and Virgin 1 that more

DK-Technologies Launches Graphical Loudness Display

loudness.jpgDK-Technologies is using the IBC platform to introduce a new Graphical Loudness display for its award-winning PT0760M HS/SD waveform monitor.

This display allows engineers to simultaneously see waveform and audio information on the same screen. It is particularly useful for facilities that need to comply with the new BCAP guidelines on audio loudness as it enables engineers to measure loudness against time and instantly see the effect of any changes they might make to loudness values.

The Graphical Loudness display allows user to view up to three minutes of rolling audio. The PT0760M is able to de-embed up to 16 audio channels from up to 4 HD/SD video in puts and also provide Dolby Digital/DolbyE decoding. The PT0760M can also be purchased with analogue and digital audio inputs and outputs. With these options the PT0760M can provide ITU indication via the more

DK-Technologies Launches A Remote For Its Award Winning PT0760M HD/SD Multi-Channel Video Waveform Monitor

DK-Technologies will be attending this year’s IBC Convention with an exciting new addition to its award winning PT0760M HD/SD Multi-channel Video Waveform Monitor.

The PT0760-R is a remote unit that allows engineers to access the facilities of the PT0760M from an entirely different location. With this unit in place, an engineer on location can see exactly the same audio and video display as the engineer in the Master Control Room. Engineers using the remote can independently access all the facilities of the PT0760M without interrupting the use at the master location.

DK’s new remote offers the same high quality display as the PT0760M and gives users access to a set of soft keys that replicate those on the main unit. Both the PT0760M and the PT0760-R display can be independently controlled, allowing for either identical or individual display of video and/or audio signals at both locations.
