White Mark Brings World-Class Acoustics To Splice TV’s New Audio Facilities

splice-tvs-new-audio-studio.jpgAcoustic and studio design consultancy White Mark Ltd has completed a major acoustic re-fit of the audio control room and voice-over booth at Splice TV Ltd in London’s Shoreditch.

“We’re really delighted with the outcome of this project,? says Nag Kirinde, Splice’s head of audio. “The control room and vocal booth both sound amazing, as well as looking and feeling great. Clients and staff are all voicing their approval.?

Established in 2003, Splice is an independent post production facility for the broadcast television market. It offers a wide range of services in both picture and audio and provides a complete post-production solution from storyboard through to final delivery. more

Fairlight at ZDF

German public broadcaster ZDF (www.zdf.de) has invested in two Fairlight Xynergi MPC96 systems, which have been supplied and installed by Fairlight’s German distributor Media Logic.

ZDF operates a network of bureaus in all of the capitals of the Länder – the sixteen states that make up the Federal Republic of Germany. Its main editorial and production capacity in based in Berlin and it is here, at the Hauptstadtstudio facility, that the Fairlight Xynergi systems have been installed. more

TV3 invests In Junger Audio’s LEVEL MAGIC

level-magic-c8000-series.JPGTV3, New Zealand’s largest commercial television station, has installed 10 Jünger Audio LEVEL MAGIC processors in its final programme chain to help balance audio levels across its ‘Freeview’ terrestrial and satellite transmission platforms.

The broadcaster, which reaches nearly 100% of New Zealand’s terrestrial viewers along with many digital viewers via the Sky Network Television platform, is renowned for the quality of its flagship news programmes and its domestically produced current affairs and entertainment programmes. more

Fairlight at Studio Tonmeister

The new Xynergi MPC, which was supplied by Fairlight’s German distributor Media Logic, has been installed in Control Room 2, where it is being used for lip sync projects for a variety of film and broadcast clients including ZDF, Germany’s second network TV station and one of the largest broadcasters in Europe.

Located on the outskirts of Mainz in Germany, Studio Tonmeister has five state-of-the-art sound studios and two AVID suites. With its centralised patching system and enviable equipment list, Studio Tonmeister is one of the finest all-round facilities in Germany. more

Fairlight Plays A Part In Slumdog Millionaire’s Oscar Success

This rags-to-riches romance’s slew of Oscars includes awards for film editing, cinematography and sound mixing, as well as best original score and original song – Jai Ho – both written by Indian composer A.R. Rahman. more

SADiE Plays A Key Role In Stevie Wonder’s Live DVD/Blu-Ray

To mark his achievements across five decades, Universal Motown has recently released Live at Last, Stevie Wonder’s first-ever live concert to be released on DVD and Blu-Ray. The concert, which was recorded last autumn at the O2 (Arena) in London, was captured for posterity by Tim Summerhayes onboard the Red-TX mobile. The audio was then mixed by David Woolley at his Thornquest post-production facility in West Sussex. more

Images & Sound Invests In Fairlight Constellation XCS Console

Based in Auckland, Images & Sound offers a complete audio and video post production solution to the film, television and advertising industries. The facility has four mixing studios, two of which are equipped for 5.1 surround sound mixing. It also has two tracklaying studios, a Foley recording studio and a large cinetape department with a full range of HD and SD decks for mastering. more

Prism Sound Gains METAlliance Certification
