2007 CEDIA Electronic Lifestyles Awards Entry: Best Integrated Home: Level 1: $60,000-$110,000
The concept of the room was to have an elegant family room with a home theater that would be out of view when not in use. The biggest challenge this project presented was that the client wanted the theater to be completely hidden from sight when not in use – including the ceiling mounted projector. Our first step was to create a floor plan that would detail the projector, screen, and speaker locations in relation to the room. more

2007 CEDIA Electronic Lifestyles Awards Entry: Best Large Home Theater, Level I: $56,000 – $85,000

Synopsis describing the project goals, special features, or nuances.
This theater was designed for the family to enjoy their time together watching movies and entertaining their friends at home. After our initial discussions with our client, we designed a room that would have an opulent feel while still enjoying high performance from their audio and video system. A 7.2 channel surround sound system was integrated into the front proscenium wall and rear ceiling paying special attention to accurate sound reproduction with discreet installation. Our company performed all design and theater fabrication including the finished carpentry trim work in the theater. Our design incorporated swivel seating for the front row and an inviting sofa with lounge for the rear. This design decision offers unobstructed movie viewing while still allowing casual face to face conversation during intermissions. more

2007 CEDIA Electronic Lifestyles Awards Entry: Best Large Home Theater, Level VI: $550,000 – $815,000

Our customer wanted a theater that captivated you from the very moment you entered the room. The brick accents, dark wood trim, and beamed ceiling provide for a delicate balance between comfortable and welcoming yet elegant and formal. The earthy color scheme provided for an intriguing lighting layout that literally changes the room when adjusting the zones. The theater also has a hidden camera (modulated to all of the other TV's in the house) so the parents can check up on the kids at any time. The lighted riser steps were finished with an opposing angle design that added to the uniqueness of the entire room. more
