Almo Pro A/V Names Steve Rosenheim BDM for Content Creation Services

Almo Professional A/V Names Steve Rosenheim Business Development Manager for Content Creation Services

Philadelphia, PA — August 4, 2014 — Almo Professional A/V has hired Steve Rosenheim, CTS, DSCE as Business Development Manager with an exclusive focus on the distributor’s new Content Creation Services. The seventh member of Almo’s elite fleet of specialized Business Development Managers (BDMs), Rosenheim will be onsite to discuss Almo’s new services during the E4 Philadelphia Expo, a “bonus” E4 event taking place on August 15 at the Valley Forge Casino & Resort.

In his new role, Rosenheim is responsible for supporting Almo partners with all of their content creation needs, ranging from consultation on the proper content, technical support on the hardware, and the end result, which is the delivery of high quality digital signage content that exceeds the customer’s expectations.

“With a background in advertising combined with extensive time in audio visual integration, Steve is both creative and technically-savvy in his ability to support dealers with the powerful and recurring revenue system that content creation offers in digital signage applications,” said Sam Taylor, executive vice president and COO for Almo Professional A/V. “This new position is unique and greatly needed. Now our partners can resell our service and offer their customers a truly complete digital signage package.”

Prior to Almo, Rosenheim was Director of Sales at Net AV in Baltimore and Account Manager at AVI-SPL where he was responsible for prospecting new business, designing systems and training customers. He holds InfoComm CTS (Certified Technical Specialist) and DSCE (Digital Signage Certified Expert) accreditations.

Almo Professional A/V Becomes a U.S. AV Distributor for Listen Technologies Products

Almo Professional A/V Tunes In To Assistive Listening Requirements; Becomes a U.S. AV Distributor for Listen Technologies Products

PHILADELPHIA — June 30, 2014 — Almo Professional A/V is making its commitment to assistive listening requirements loud and clear by becoming the first U.S. AV distributor to offer Listen Technologies’ full line of core Assistive Listening Systems, including RF and IR technologies. These products were created specifically to provide an enhanced personal audio experience due to hearing loss or the ambient acoustic environment. As part of the new distribution relationship, Almo is hosting a live webinar on assistive listening and ADA compliance led by Listen Technologies on Tuesday, July 1. Additionally, Listen Technologies has joined Almo’s traveling E4 AV Tour as both an exhibitor and a presenter.

According to Sam Taylor, executive vice president and COO for Almo Professional A/V, “Assistive Listening is now a requirement under the ADA and necessary in just about every AV project; however, some of our dealers do not have a lot of experience in this area. The Listen team understands the critical importance of dealer education on this topic and working with the industry on these issues.” He continued, “As a U.S. distributor offering Listen Technologies products, we are able to provide our partners with a new revenue model, add value to their projects, help them differentiate, and ensure they are satisfying required legislative compliance.”
“Almo Pro A/V is strong in relationships and education, and these are also core values for Listen Technologies,” said Cory Schaeffer, co-founder and vice president of business development for Listen Technologies. “The partnership allows us to focus more time on the dealer community as Almo Pro A/V already has deep-rooted relationships with these professionals. We are looking forward to the opportunity to help educate Almo partners on ADA compliance and the Assisted Listening Systems that are available through Almo. I’ve attended an E4 event in the past and the caliber of attendees and the education offered is second to none.”

Listen Technologies Products
Almo now carries the following products from Listen Technologies:
• Stationary RF: Allows wireless audio to be transmitted from a fixed-base transmitter to portable receivers like a private radio station. RF technology works indoors or outdoors for assistive listening, language interpretation, audio description or multi-channel audio distribution applications.
• Portable RF: The perfect solution for mobile tour groups, assistive listening and language interpretation applications. A microphone simply plugs into a compact body pack transmitter and wirelessly broadcasts the speaker’s voice to the intended audience.
• Stationary IR: Secure sound transmission that wirelessly transmits audio from a sound source to portable receivers each with earphones and controls. The big difference: privacy. Infrared technology uses a form of invisible light to transmit sound. As light is contained within a room, the presentation or conversation is kept within the confines of that space. IR is a great choice when a number of adjacent rooms make RF frequency allocation impractical.
• Digital IR. With up to 32 simultaneous channels, digital IR makes it easy to communicate in more advanced, demanding settings. It includes preconfigured systems, transmitters, radiators and receivers that fit into different types of applications.

Almo Webinar Led by Listen Technologies on July 1
“Listen Up! Why Every Dealer Needs to Learn About Assistive Listening & ADA Compliance” will be presented by Cory Schaeffer of Listen Technologies on Tuesday, July 1, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern. In this informative session, attendees will learn why assistive listening systems have become mandatory for every AV project, how Pro AV resellers can easily add these solutions to their product and service offerings to increase revenue and add value to their clients, and what technologies are available, including RF & IR solutions, as well as Listen Technologies’ Loop and new iDSP systems. To register, click here.

E4 AV Tour
Almo Pro A/V will resume its traveling E4 AV Tour this fall with stops in Boston on October 3 and Washington, D.C., on October 17. During these events, Listen Technologies will have a booth in the E4 Expo hall and will lead a session on the ADA requirements for assistive listening and the technologies offered to meet those requirements. InfoComm Renewal Units will be available for this session.

Now in its fifth year, the E4 tour continues to evolve to meet the changing needs of AV resellers, integrators and consultants. Credited as the industry’s most specialized one-day dealer event, E4 has traveled to countless cities to serve the product, technical and business training needs of thousands of resellers and installers while creating the ideal forum for professional networking.

Called the Digital Canvas Collection, the space will feature 12 new exhibits and showcase stunning, original content to bring together the best of InfoComm and ignite the imagination of show attendees.
“We received such an overwhelming response to our Art Gallery last year that we kept the theme but updated the exhibits, which have catchy names such as ‘Tied Up in a Bow,’ ‘Grade on a Curve’ and ‘Bright on Track,’” said Melody Craigmyle, vice president of marketing for Almo Professional A/V. “New products from Barco, NEC, Peerless-AV, Samsung, Sharp Aquos, TouchSystems, Epson, Chief and much more are on display, with many of the exhibits showcasing content developed by Almo’s Content Creation Team. Our skilled Business Development and Account Managers will be stationed in the gallery to answer technical, product and installation questions. Additionally, we are running social media contests and giving away prizes non-stop throughout the show.”
Craigmyle noted that the Almo booth will also incorporate the following highlights:
• SecurityTronix. Almo’s first surveillance equipment distribution partner, SecurityTronix is a specialty manufacturer of electronics, hardware, cable and installation materials used in residential and commercial security installations. The Digital Canvas Collection will be monitored by SecurityTronix’s analog surveillance solutions, bullet, dome and pan tilt zoom cameras. The space will also be recorded real-time by the 4-channel HVR.

• ClearOne. Almo will have Spontania Cloud, the most powerful cloud service available, in its unified conference room. Spontania puts all the benefits of visual collaboration within reach while removing the barriers of complexity and high costs. The conference room will also feature ClearOne’s Room Roster product to show all scheduled meetings.

• Barco. Almo will feature the near-seamless freestanding OBPX video wall, which recently won the “Red Dot: Best of the Best” distinction.

• Content Creation Services. All the content for the Digital Canvas Collection has been created by Almo’s own Content Creation Services team. Attendees will see an array of artistic content for everything from video walls to single displays.
Gallery Guide and Tours A map of the assembled collection is available for preview. Attendees can experience a guided tour of the Almo Art Gallery between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. all three days of InfoComm. To sign up for a tour, click here.
Games and Prizes Every Almo dealer who stops by the gallery will receive an Almo travel pouch, which contains a winning ticket for one of $10,000 in prizes, ranging from a 70-inch Sharp AquosQ+ HDTV, a Samsung Galaxy Note Tablet, Samsung Galaxy Bluetooth Keyboard and much more.
Additionally, Almo is running two social media contests:
• #almoselfie Selfie Snapshot. Attendees must find an Almo Account Manager or Business Development Manager, take a selfie with them and post it on Twitter or Facebook with #almoselfie to be entered to win a $500 AMEX gift card.

• #almogallery Caption Captain. Attendees should take a photo of their favorite installation or find an existing photo, add a caption and post it on Twitter or Facebook with #almogallerycaptioncaptain. The person with the most clever caption will win a $500 AMEX gift card.

Attendees will see their posts in the booth courtesy of X20’s social media hub which provides a real-time, interactive experience that encourages viewers to engage with the content. X20 was recently acquired by Barco.
THE GAME 5 Almo is a sponsor of rAVe’s THE GAME 5 at InfoComm. THE GAME will be stationed at the Almo booth on Wednesday, June 18 at 2:45 p.m. and Thursday, June 19 at 1:00 p.m.

Almo Professional A/V Launches Content Creation Services Program

Includes Content Creation Services for Digital Signage, Interactive and Video Production; Content Creation Course Offered Next Week at E4 Dallas

PHILADELPHIA — March 10, 2014 — As another way to provide revenue opportunities for its partners, Almo Professional A/V today launched a new Content Creation Services Program for digital signage, interactive and video production. Almo is showcasing its content creation services and offering a Content Creation for Digital Signage session during its E4 AV Tour, which stops in Dallas on March 11.
“Our integrators have a wealth of experience installing displays, distributing signals and controlling digital signage solutions, however, one area that has been underdeveloped is the ability to provide content creation services to round out their offerings,” said Sam Taylor, executive vice president and COO for Almo Professional A/V. “As the first distributor to offer our own private label content creation services, we are enabling our integrators to provide a true end-to-end digital signage solution for their customers and enjoy increased margins from the services revenue.”

Almo Professional A/V Announces Final Registration for E4 AV Southern California Oct. 18

NEC Display Solutions to Sponsor New Brain Freeze Tech Panel;
Keynote Address and Tech Panel Available Live Via Webstream

Philadelphia, PA — October 9, 2013 — Next week, Almo Professional A/V in partnership with InfoComm International, will open the doors for the first fall E4 AV training and networking tour, taking place at the Hyatt Regency in Irvine, Calif. on Oct. 18. The E4 event will include an all new lunchtime Brain Freeze Tech Panel sponsored by NEC Display Solutions. For the first time in the four-year history of the E4 Tour, Almo will make two sessions in the agenda — the keynote address and the Tech Panel — available live via webstream.
According to Melody Craigmyle, vice president of marketing for Almo Professional A/V, “We have already achieved record pre-registration for this E4 and have expanded the event space to accommodate more attendees while giving our exhibitors the ability to bring additional products and link products together with other exhibitors to show AV systems.” She continued, “We are also working hard to bring parts of the E4 to those who are stuck in the office or just can’t participate onsite. Gary Kayye’s Krystal Ball keynote address and new Brain Freeze Tech Panel will both stream live so those who aren’t there physically can still ask questions and participate in the conversations online using Twitter.”

Almo Professional A/V Kicks Off Fall E4 AV Tour in Southern California October 18

Entirely New Curriculum; Midori Connolly Highlighted Speaker;
Keynote Address and New Tech Panel to Be Broadcast Live

Philadelphia, PA — September 5, 2013 — Almo Professional A/V in partnership with InfoComm International, today opened registration for the fall leg of its E4 AV training and networking tour, which commences at the Hyatt Regency in Irvine, Calif. on October 18. Alive with the sights and sounds of AV, E4 Southern California will feature an entirely new training curriculum, as well as an energetic array of dynamic speakers, including Midori Connolly of AVGirl Productions. In addition, for the first time in the tour’s history, the keynote address and a new Tech Expert Brain Freeze lunchtime panel will be broadcast live on the web. New product demonstrations, new exhibitors and countless networking opportunities with the most respected AV experts will also be available to E4 attendees.

Touted as the industry’s most specialized one-day dealer event, E4 has traveled to countless cities to serve the product, technical and business training needs of thousands of resellers and installers while creating the ideal forum for professional networking.

According to Melody Craigmyle, vice president of marketing for Almo Professional A/V, “We take the feedback we receive from each E4 and build it into future events so our partners continue to learn the latest technology and trends to help evolve their business models. E4 Southern California will include the product exhibitors, education and networking core that our partners expect with some exciting new additions.” She continued, “Our Tech Expert Brain Freeze lunchtime panel allows attendees to discuss a series of topics like 4K and HDBaseT while enjoying lunch and an icy cold dessert. This session and our Gary Kayye keynote are also going to be available for the first time via a live broadcast so others can participate without being onsite. And Midori Connolly will bring her energy to the floor to discuss the new norms for communications technology in a digital culture.”

“Besides a couple of large annual tradeshows, the AV professional doesn’t have many opportunities to experience face-to-face networking, product interaction and education,” explained Midori Connolly, of AVGirl Productions and CEO/Chief AVGirl at Pulse Staging and Events. “What makes the E4 event so special is that it brings together a group of premier manufacturers, industry educators and select attendees in a more intimate environment, which lends itself to deeper engagement with educational content and their peers.”

The Southern California event will feature hundreds of products, demonstrations and introductions from more than 30 carefully selected manufacturers. New exhibitors to the tour include Barco, ClearOne, Elo Touch, Harman Audio Lines and Peerless A/V.
