Cabletime’s new LAN-Caster IP Gateway On Show At InfoComm 08

FOX Channels Italy Adopts DK-Technologies New ITU Recommended MSD100C Loudness Meter

Rome, Italy: Fox Channels Italy has become the first broadcaster to invest in DK-Technologies‘ new MSD100C Loudness meter, which is designed to tackle the issue of the perceived loudness of audio signals.


The new meter has been installed at Fox Channels Italy‘s studios in Rome where it is being used as part of the Broadcast Content Management chain to meter and normalize the loudness of programmes ingested into the video server, before transmission. FOX Channels Italy has also upgraded the MSD600M++ meters that it is using in its audio post production department to incorporate DK‘s new loudness software. more

Sony Unveils First 1080i High-Definition Videoconferencing Solution

PARK RIDGE, N.J., Jan. 29, 2008 - Sony is introducing the industry‘s first 1080i high-definition videoconferencing system, the PCS-XG80.

Crown’s Gerald Stanley To Receive AES Fellowship Award

ELKHART, Indiana - December 2007 — Crown International proudly announces that Gerald Stanley, the company’s senior vice president of research, has just been selected by the Audio Engineering Society’s awards committee and board of governors to receive the distinguished AES Fellowship Award in 2008.

Crown DC 300 Enters TECnology Hall Of Fame

Soundcraft Vi6™ Storms The Barns At Wolf Trap

VIENNA, Virginia - November 2007 — A new Soundcraft Vi6™ digital live sound console has been installed at The Barns at Wolf Trap in time for the winter concert season, which runs annually from early October through May. The audio system at the 382-seat indoor venue, located close to Washington DC at the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts, was revamped in 2005 with a JBL VerTec line array system, Crown amplifiers, BSS Audio Omnidrive processing and AKG microphones. more
