For instance, he will be traveling with metal icons Rob Zombie and Slayer on a twelve-stop tour that mix festival PA systems with a hand-picked Adamson system for headlining shows. To get signals in reliably and to analyze them powerfully, Dowling calls on a Metric Halo ULN-8 interface paired with Metric Halo’s SpectraFoo Complete analysis software.

ariel_borujow.JPG

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – AUGUST 2011: “I work too many hours,” laughed Ariel Borujow, chief recording and mix engineer at New York City’s now-famous Stadium Red studios. With fifteen years spent in front of the monitors, Borujow has worked with Kanye West, The Black Eyed Peas, Faith Evans, J-Lo, and countless others. His efforts, coupled with his knack for transforming whatever crosses his path into aural magic, have earned the young engineer multiple platinum albums and a Grammy nomination. Nevertheless, Borujow is hardly content to rest on his laurels. Although he does sometimes take a day off, putting in a six-day week instead of his usual seven, on the days he does work, it’s never less than ten hours. And if there’s ever a dip in the frenzy at Stadium Red, Borujow puts in time at his moonlighting gig, delivering mixes for Fox broadcasting. With deadlines looming and a more

Boulevard Pro Brings ‘Goodwill’ to Upstate NY Church

goodwill-pastor-josh-stewart-and-dale-girardin-td-low.jpeg

BUENA PARK, Calif.—Boulevard Professional (Oradell, N.J.) recently installed a NEXO GEO S12 line array system along with Yamaha LS9-32 and SB168-ES Stage Box at the Goodwill Church in Montgomery, New York. Several years ago, the company was called in to design and install a state-of-the-art sound system for a new worship space. Unexpectedly, funding was cut and it appeared the installation would be placed on the back burner. In a successful fund raising mission by members of church, the goal required to purchase and install a new system had been met, and by the fall of last year, work had begun.

The 700-seat contemporary church has a diverse, active congregation with 1,000 in attendance each week. A full band and six vocalists accompany the sermons. “It was very apparent early on that a new system for Goodwill Church would not just be for spoken word,? states James Cioffi, more
